great breakfast and dinner, made from local products and served by the best staff I met in last couple of years. Very friendly, even better say family, atmosphere all over. Very nice location in the nature. Can only recommend to everyone. Almost forgot to say the wellness area is great!! Keep it going this way. hope to be back soon.

Good B&B for staying overnight (our case) ... or if you want to enjoy casino games for longer time. Rooms are new, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, served in casino, so we also enjoyed the atmosphere for a while. :)

Stožec is a very beautiful Šumava village, a starting point...

Stožec is a very beautiful Šumava village, a starting point for further trips... Stožec Chapel, Soumarské peat bog, swimming in the amazing Kreuzbachsee lake just across the border and much more. Don't miss the gelateria in Strážné, the ice cream man really knows his stuff, we haven't eaten better!

An excellent starting point for bike trips.

An excellent starting point for bike trips. Anyone who has not seen the Stožec Chapel has not been there. A short distance from the border with Germany offers opportunities for trips to border villages. Peace, nature, relaxation, clean air, Stožec offers all this.

What else can I say, Stožec is a poetic place in the Šumava...

What else can I say, Stožec is a poetic place in the Šumava Mountains, not far from the border, an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling.... the apartment is modern, cozy, clean, everything you need is in its place,... even a grill on the balcony, and the owners are helpful... so everyone had a pleasant stay, VK.

I was a little surprised by the amount of the fee for a dog,...

I was a little surprised by the amount of the fee for a dog, when in other accommodations it was zero or half, but I didn't know that until I got there, I agreed to the price so I'm not complaining, I'm just stating

train travel - Nové Údolí.

train travel - Nové Údolí. Horní Planá, Volary and then on foot the Mednědí trail from Ovesná-Jelení-Černý Kříž = beautiful U Pstruha in the place, U Němečů in Dobrá, Haidmulle confectionery, Volary Bobík and Soumarský Most U Maxů = 100% do not miss it. Trains every hour in 3 directions.

Stožec is a very good starting point for hiking, cycling and...

Stožec is a very good starting point for hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing. The surrounding nature offers many options for where to go, depending on your fitness level. The railway stop in the middle of the village is also an advantage. I especially appreciate the local Mistro Bistro, which offers excellent home-cooked food. The bonus is the very nice owners :-). I would be happy to come back here.

A beautiful and comfortable hotel, tastefully furnished and well maintained. The room and wellness area were impressively clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms, while simply furnished, were spacious and comfortable. The entire property is well cared for, and its location is excellent, with hiking trails and moors nearby.

Staff was amazing, waited with a vegan dinner for us at 9 pm ! Hotel and wellness area - Though a little pricey - is lovely. You need a car to get here and go on all the wonderful excursions in Boehmerwald
