From the time we arrived, everything was great. On arrival at our room, we got the biggest surprise. We actually had a 2 bedroom suite with a large entrance area. Our room was large. In fact, we almost felt like we had a royal suite. The location was extremely quiet as the hotel itself was located away from the street (the entrance was on the street). The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was eaten in a lovely dining room. There were plenty of choices for breakfast and of a good quality. The owner/manager provided information on good restaurants (the mexican restaurant was superb). He also provided information on what to see and where to find them, maps included. We would have enjoyed staying longer. We highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was beyond our expectation. The room is equipped with a nespresso machine which is a another good thing. The air-condition unit is strong and silent enough. The shower has half-sized glass, without a door. I dont like this design because water splashes out of shower area but this glass was long enough to minimize splashes.

We had no trouble to find it, tired and hot after a long hike, we refreshed in the pub's garden. Amazing! We booked a table for the evening and had a simple meal, tasty pizza, with nice wine. Service for very attentive. The room was great, with 2 large roof windows, comfy beds and a hot shower.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel U Věžícké Brány. The room was cozy and comfortable, the location is excellent - right in the center, close to everything. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everything went smoothly, no problems at all

Very beautiful and quiet hotel almost in the city center. Plenty of parking spaces nearby. The lady at the reception and restaurant staff were great, smiling and kind. Very good breakfast. The room is nice, clean, retro designed! Bed with a comfortable mattress. I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is simply perfect, I really enjoyed staying there. Extremely good location, close to Prachovské skály. The room is very cozy, with comfortable beds. The bathroom is small, but very well organised. The restaurant is good, with several dishes. The breakfast is also fine. The terrasse and the garden are lovely. I have not tried the wellness, but it must be useful after a long day hiking trip. I am sure I will come back! :)

Very cozy apartment and friendly owners. There's a small restaurant next to the apartment. Lots of beautiful sights to see in the immediate area. A great opportunity to socialize informally with the locals over a drink.

It is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay.

It is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. I stayed off-season so I avoided the crowds of tourists in Prachovské Skály. There are many paths for walking in the forests and rocks in the area. There is a good pub right in the village.

Beautiful place and the whole surroundings.

Beautiful place and the whole surroundings. Lots of possibilities for walks, trips and learning about history. Within walking distance is the entrance to Prachovské Rocks. A pond and ruins of Pařez are a short distance from the cottage. Within driving distance are Hrubá Skála, Trosky, Jičín, Dětenice, etc.

This is a village.

This is a village. The focal point is Hostinec na Blatach, a tavern, unfortunately only open on weekends. The locals are friendly towards tourists. There's very little car traffic, and the trails are suitable for cycling.

Lots of interesting things to see in the area, ideal length...

Lots of interesting things to see in the area, ideal length of stay is about 14 days, so that one can see at least the basic castles/ruins/viewpoints/rocks, etc. About 100m to nature. The only thing that bothered me during the trips were the ubiquitous handkerchiefs - but nature cannot be blamed for the behavior of some people...

I rate it as a hiking tourist.

I rate it as a hiking tourist. Getting to the Prachovské Rocks or walking to Trosky is pleasant from Blat. Directly opposite the house there is a path along the ridge, which I used to avoid that disgusting mega-hotel, from which noise and roar constantly emanate.
