Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus. it has a lovely vibe and many restaurants and cafes to choose from. I recommend Pendeli Hotel for a luxurious stay or forest park if looking for a very budget friendly stay. Petit Palais is one of the oldest hotels in the square and is loved by locals and tourists. EnPlatron is one of my favourite Taverns offering great traditional dishes and live music on weekends. Kaledonia Tavern is also a favourite local tavern so make sure to give it a try Cleopatra Bistro is a favourite for modern dining and deserts and beverages. It was a really special, quiet wee place, with excellent access to all the trails in the Troodos hills. Very quiet location, not ideal for people with limited...
Very quiet location, not ideal for people with limited mobility. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the village. Kalidonia Waterfall is a must see, its trail is not too steep but can get busy with walking groups. Not too far to Omodos which again is beautiful. This is a really pleasant place to stay, especially if you enjoy peaceful surroundings. We loved walking around the area—it felt very tranquil and calming, with a beautiful forest surrounding the property. There’s also a nice hiking trail nearby that leads to a waterfall.
