Time really stands still in this beautiful oasis on a hill. The stunning view over the forest, accompanied by the chirping of various birds, is enhanced by the frequent rainbows that form daily due to its location between different microclimatic areas. Great food, amazing views and hiking trails in the jungle. Definitely the best chocolate in Costa Rica! Pablo and Anna are knowledgeable and wonderful hosts. The views and the chocolate tour experiences are the best parts about a stay at La Anita.

We stayed here for 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. Johnny (I think he is the owner or manager), could not have been more hospitable. He welcomed us with a coffee and snacks after a long journey from Nicaragua. He arranged a room with 2 single beds into a double room with air conditioning even though the hotel was busy. He also helped us with transport and recommendations for activities, as well as showing and telling us about all the wildlife that surrounds the hotel. He is so kind. The hotel is very cute and comfortable. The breakfast was filling and delicious, and you eat it whilst sat outside listening to the birds and nature. Would absolutely stay here again!
