Room: is very comfortable with a spacious living room, bedroom and bathroom. This allows you to enjoy the room comfortably, especially for extended stays with lots of luggage. The windows offer a wonderful view of the ocean and the mountains. Every morning, you will be awakened by the singing of birds. You will have the chance to see monkeys moving in the nearby trees. A small terrace allows you to have a private aperitif with a sea view. The bed is super king size, very comfortable! The bathroom has a very comfortable shower and the sink has plenty of space to store products. Resturant: Breakfast is excellent, both in traditional dishes and in more American variations. Dinner was good. The menu was the same for all the week, although we would have preferred some variations during our stay. Staff: is really kind and attentive to the needs of the customers, starting with the General Manager Steven Morera, and continuing with Francisco, Domi, and Roxy. Thank you all for taking care of our needs!

There's an uplifted elegant energy throughout the grounds, from the security guard to the cleaning staff. Our two story unit smelled like rich wood. The layout was excellent design for safety, privacy, and super comfortable beds, chairs. AC was great in each bedroom, fans, curtains all clean and in great condition. The bathrooms lighting, hot water and linen quality were exceptional. It is worth mentioning that there we few mosquitos for Ojochal. The space is ample and well equipped for cooking or working remotely, even if there were several occupants. I could stay here long term. My 14 year relaxed. He enjoyed the pool, and commented on how intelligent the whole plaza was with a pharmacy, spa services, bar, store and restaurant all weaved together with hotel. We cannot say enough about the restaurant and we booked another night at end of trip because my son has to come back for more. Citrus is a gem. Families can relax and enjoy pool day, see many bird and plant species.

10/10 for el pulpo. Lovely couple who made us coffee when the electricity pole fell down and we were unable to use the communal facilities. It was quiet when we were there. Lots of restaurants nearby. Would recommend car access. Very hot shower, it was excellent. Tents were well kept, clean and equipped with a fan.

Absolutely stunning location. The view from the verandah is gorgeous. Rooms are spacious and super clean. Beds are very comfortable and good air con. Very friendly staff with gorgeous pets. Lovely swimming pool. Toucans and Monkeys came to visit the balcony during our stay.

    Ojochal is quiet but very close to the larger beach town, Uvita, where we enjoyed an exciting whale watch and the Whale's Tail beach. Some beaches are just 10 minutes away—-beautiful, with pretty sand, just-right waves, and cute little hermit crabs. There are many, many delicous and inventive restaurants--especially Heliconia, Restaurant La Pala, and the Soda Ojoche. The people are extremely nice and helpful. We would go back there.

    It has a small collection of restaurants and shops. It's most helpful to use a car or motorcycle to travel the area. It has mostly unpaved, winding roads with numerous steep inclines/declines.

    Ojochal is a great base location to explore the Uvita area...

    Ojochal is a great base location to explore the Uvita area beaches and the Sierpe mangroves to the south. Lots of area waterfalls, beaches, attractions, and restaurants. True Costa Rican rainforest and animals along with world class beaches and waterfalls make it the best of everything Costa Rica offers.

    Go and watch the fish being unloaded at the “Fish Shop” sign...

    Go and watch the fish being unloaded at the “Fish Shop” sign just below Paraiso Azul - birds up close and a range of fish. It’s only a 40 min drive, on a good road, to Sierpe for a 3 hour river trip - loads of wildlife. Completely recommended

    Beautiful area. Enjoyed the animals and plants. Very good places to eat. Friendly people. Enjoyed the French bakery for breakfast and lunch. Several good restaurants for dinner. Easy to rent a car and get around.

    This town is one of the most peaceful and beautiful that we’ve visited in Costa Rica. It also has great restaurants and really nice people. Nice for a couple with no children for a little R&R and great food. Best food in CR. Sud is great if you want great food and live music or dance lessons (not sure which nights). Other restaurants we loved included Heliconia, Fusion, Kua Kua for the stunning view, Terraba and Mamma e Papa. Go to Playa Tortuga for a long walk or mellow beach visit and to see the scarlet macaws. Visit Playa Ventanas - more families, people playing, vendors, music. Far more lively than Tortuga.

    Our stay at the apartments in Ojochal, Costa Rica, was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning surroundings and warm hospitality of the owner Kevin. The apartments themselves were well equiped and clean. The lush tropical garden and swimming pool an extra layer of charm to our experience. Overall, our time in these Xotica was wonderful. Thank you again!

    All in the hotel was amazing, everything so clean and the food was delicious. The beds are very comfortable and the sounds of the nature helps you sleep like a baby. The hosts were very friendly and they worried about giving the best stay. I hope I could come back. The distance from the center is longer compare with other hotels but the quality make it worth it. The best hotel in the area.

    We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel! The location is perfect – just a short distance from the main activities around Uvita making it easy to explore the area. Our hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

    This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Very peaceful and serene. The villa had a full kitchen but the restaurants nearby were so good we never used it. The beaches were only a 5 to 10 minute drive away. You can go diving or snorkelling from Uvita beach which is 16km away.
