We felt like home! A place, where we found new energy and positive spirit. Super comfortable and also very well designed. Away from the rush of La Fortuna, but a short ride. Beautiful countryside. If you are a nature lover as we are, you can spot a big colony of montezuma birds right from your window (not noisy). Mountain view from the terase. Super helpful and friendly owners. We didnt want to ever leave.

What best defines this place is the amazing atmosphere created by the hosts. It’s something truly special, unlike anything we’ve experienced elsewhere. It genuinely feels like a home you become part of during your stay. There’s also the opportunity to see beautiful birds up close from the house’s terraces. The hosts were incredibly helpful in planning our days and recommending activities. Lastly, the fantastic breakfast deserves a mention—it kept us full all the way until dinner. We give this place our highest recommendation and would love the chance to visit again.

Carole & Paul are the nicest hosts. The room is beautiful, everything is new and super clean. They make fresh breakfast every morning and it’s fenomenal, super fresh, large portions and we got every morning a different breakfast (we stayed 2 nights). The view is breathtaking over the lake. A beautiful compact villa with a wonderful view over the lake. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a nice garden. It's close enough to all the attractions of Arenal (we enjoyed hanging bridges, Zipline, kayak, hiking and watching the local fauna) as well as supermarkets, restaurants and cafés. At the same time it is in a quiet area, so we could thoroughly enjoy the stay with our family. The owner is very nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

Not convenient for La Fortuna.

Not convenient for La Fortuna. It was a 20 min windy road drive each way. Nuevo Arenal was really noisy with dirt bikes and cars driving through. City has little to offer as far as food and entertainment.

The town is beautiful and located in a beautiful lush area. There are cute little restaurants and sodas. The locals were very friendly. My only complaint would be that the restaurants and stores etc close too early. It was hard finding something to eat/drink later in the evening

No power in the room the morning of our departure and no...

No power in the room the morning of our departure and no return call. Wine undrinkable. Bunk bed not for adults. Mattress very thin. One person cooking and cashiering for restaurant. Hope everything works because no one is coming. Claimed power outage but noticed it only affected our 2 units. Wiring looked suspect in our room.

The road between Nuevo Arenal and the Arenal Volcano is...

The road between Nuevo Arenal and the Arenal Volcano is gorgeous, true jungle scenery complete with lovely views and roadside animal encounters. The resort is 8 miles from town, but shares space with two other dining establishments as well as a quick shop for essentials. Spend a week, sign-up for some outdoor adventures, especially by visiting the Arenal Observatory Park and the Mystico Hanging Bridges naturalist tour. You'll have truly lived the Monteverde experience!

The area is beautiful with mountain and lake views. People are very friendly. There are many great restaurants and eating spots to enjoy, including a brewery/restaurant on the lake. We would love to go back. You need to have a car to see this area of Costa Rica. Getting around was easy - the main roads are good, but the side roads are rough. We did take some drives into the "country", and saw some interesting areas and also great views. The climate was very comfortable - mostly in the 70's deg. F. We didn't near air conditioning in our rooms.

The condos are at rhe same time close to amenities, as in Nuevo Arenal, and quite isolated, garanteeing some peace and quiet. Management is quite flexible about entrance and exit times, and will accomodate whenever possible. The rooms are of a good size, and comfortable. Finally, nature is all around, and the garden is part of the rain forest.

The Location of this hotel is just wonderful. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but you can reach Nuevo Arenal within a few minutes by car. It is very calm there and taking a swim with all those beautiful plants around is very cool. Breakfast on the balcony is also a little highlight, it was tasty and the view is stunning.

This hotel is a bird paradise. The eccentric owner feeds them all day long, right beside the patio tables. He even offered to drive me into town when I had to visit the bank! My stay was wonderful and relaxing, enjoying the birds and gorgeous grounds. I definitely plan to return.
