Perfect! By far the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica. There are wild animals (sloths, monkeys, toucan,..) on the hotel property and we loved it! Spacious rooms and nice staff. The private beach that you can reach by golf cart is a big plus

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Gaia Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel premises are on a hill consumed by nature where animals such as monkeys and sloths are easily visible. From the La Luna restaurant, you can enjoy a stunning ocean view. The rooms are fresh, clean and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing atmosphere. In addition, the bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of activities. One of the aspects I liked the most was the attention of the staff and the cleanliness in the room. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, they really made us feel at home. The included breakfast was another plus point; there was a variety of delicious options that satisfied all tastes. In short, my stay at Gaia Hotel was exceptional. I highly recommend it to those looking for a comfortable and affordable place. I will definitely be back on my next visit.

This place is simply amazing. I wish we could stay longer. Such a peaceful and calm environment, well maintained gardens, fantastic pool. So much wildlife- we could hear hundreds of birds all the time. Good restaurants and beaches just a few minutes away. The communication was also so easy. Wilbert has been amazing, very kind and helpful. We will definitely be back one day.

Las Tres Banderas exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, mid-way between Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. The road that runs between the two is narrow and hilly so walking around the immediate area wouldn't be for everyone (no pavements) but I found it easy to walk up the hill for 10 mins to the nearest supermarket and a couple of good bars/restaurants. Easier still is the frequent bus that stops outside the hotel to go in the direction of either Quepos or Man Antonio. The flat fare is 385 colones (approx 65p - UK.) I loved the hotel itself - it's got a good retro feel about it and is comfortable and atmospheric. My room was large, with great air-con, the best shower I came across on my Costa Rica trip and the most comfortable bed and pillows of the trip. The room is cleaned and made up every day without fail with new towels. The private balcony was spacious with a rocking chair, hammock and a lovely natural view onto a wooded area full of wildlife. Monkeys in the trees - great fun to watch. The breakfast was good and simple with a few options to choose from, and there's a nice communal terrace area for games, reading and general chilling out. I didn't use the bar/restaurant as I wanted to explore the area for food options but it seemed popular and well used. All the hotel staff members are open, friendly and helpful and the wi-fi is strong throughout the hotel grounds. Last but not least, the swimming pool is superb - again the best I came across on my trip. It has generous opening times (7am - 10pm) and was never crowded. I was down there at 7am each day and at that time had it to myself, Overall this is a terrific, value for money option in beautiful Manuel Antonio and I would definitely repeat!

    We just loved this park.

We just loved this park. In a little more than a ½ day we walked all the trails except the closed one. We stopped for an hour in the café -- which is enclosed in a cage to prevent the animals from coming in! That was the first time I had a drink in a cage. The trails are great and we saw lots of wildlife on our own, including a toucan and a sloth (only saw it on our way out!). The beaches are beautiful too. The only issue is parking. I can't tell what's official and what isn't, and at the hotel they warn you your car can be damaged if you just try to park wherever rather than in their lots. We parked somewhere and paid (talked him down) but I'm not sure it was official. No issues with our car though. Highly recommend this park!

    The Nature Reserve was amazing.

The Nature Reserve was amazing. I expected to explore for 2-3 hours and go to the beach. I didn't realize that the entry fee includes several beautiful beaches to choose from with white sand and the water is perfect! I joined a guided tour with Ricardo for $20 and it was awesome! A truly great day that lasted more like 9 hours after taking the hike to the waterfall. My only regret is not planning enough time to explore here. Souvenirs are pricey here, as in most places. If you find camisettas for $10-15 at the shuttle stops along the way, buy them. I got a delicious smoothie at the restaurant inside the Reserve. My tour partner got a sandwich that was huge.

Like a lot of Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is wedged between the ocean and the mountain making for some steep winding roads and small areas with lots packed into them. One such area is the park entrance which is filled with people selling things or trying to get you to pay for parking. From the park entrance to the public beach is a15 minute walk but there are not really any sidewalks so pay attention to traffic. The public beach is great but like at the park entrance, you will likely be bombarded with people selling things. Plenty of options to eat but parking can be tricky so choose accommodations within walking distance of what you want to do.

The tour guide we booked through the Gaia Hotel and Reserver was amazing and we were able to view both Two toed and Three Toed Sloths, Macaws, Howler Monkey, White Faced Capucin, crabs, lizards, grasshoppers, dragon flies, and more. The guide was knowledgable and high quality professional photos were sent to use by the concierge afterwards. It was an amazing vacation and we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Manual Antonio National Park, tends to be too crowded.

Manual Antonio National Park, tends to be too crowded. Arriving to the park was a bad experience with many unprofessional vendors trying to get your attention. Once we navigated through all the crowds, and the long lines at the cafeteria/souvenir shop, we got to the beach. It was amazing. The city itself is not easy to navigate. Narrow steep, winding roads, that can lead to some amazing views, and restaurants. If you are not adventurous, and prefer to walk to destinations this is not the town I would recommend.

The part of this hotel that was on the beach side of the road has a good location next to Mauel Antonio beach. The restaurant and pool were next to the beach in gardens. Staff laid out chairs or loungers on the sand under the palm trees and were very helpful. We stayed in the new bedrooms on the hill the otherside of the road (lots of steps up - no porters around). They had a nice view of the tree tops out to sea. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was okay.

Perfect location. right next to the entry for Manuel Antonio National Park and minutes from the beach and main shops/restaurants on the beach. Easy to use the local bus up to the main town too. Be careful of the local white-faced monkeys who will raid your balcony early in the morning if you leave anything outside! Lots of friendly local iguana as well
