We can highly recommend staying at Sabalo Lodge. Anouk and Kevin were amazing hosts and we felt always very welcomed and taken care of. Breakfast and Dinner were great, Kevin is a great chef and especially his tuna tartar and beef were amazing. The surrounding is wonderful - jungle life a lots of animals and we took the chance to use the canoes they provide for free. We didn't need to take care about bookings for sightseeing. Anouk and Kevin arranged that for us and we had a great experience with the night boat tour in the mangroves or the tour to Corcovado. Even when we returned to our car, which we left in Sierpe, we had a chance to do a mangrove tour seeing a lot of animals. their captain Melvin found every animal even if they were hiding and took us close to them. We will definitely come back when visiting Costa Rica again.

Wonderful place for those who wish to be away from crowds and enjoy nature and a quite beach. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Home cooked local food was so delicious. David and Elena are wonderful hosts. Their place is the best kept secret in the Drake Bay area.

No wonder Maresia is constantly rated 10 - I absolutely loved everything about it. What’s not to love about lying in a hammock watching toucans and macaws flying past!! Loved the outdoor shower. Staff were exceptional.

First of all the location of this Place is what makes it stand out, its elevated over looking Bahi Drake and the sunset views in the evening are breathtaking. Everything about the hotel is fantastic, Victor was the main man for all things during our stay, from checking us in to making oustanding cocktails by the pool. Our room was named Trogon and overlooked the bay, the suspended wooden cabin has all you need and situated on the balcony a hammock perfect for relaxing in. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, fine dining for dinner and the breakfast overlooking the bay, exceptional to see first thing in the morning also the coffee is made right in front of you as you look out over the ocean! The pool Area is fanstatic and you can look out over the ocean as you are in the pool, you can also access the beach from tha private entrance just a short walk down and over a hanging bridge. (you can see this from the pool) there is also a tower onsite you can get to which gives an amazing view from upon high (as long as heights dont bother you) Theres also plenty of wildlife around if you like that sort of thing, ( iguanas by the pool, even some Coattis roaming around ) every evening there were Macaws and Green parrots passing over and even some Toucans in the trees right next to our room! All in all an exceptional place to stay in the Drake area.

We had amazing two nights at Greenleaf. The family-run business provides absolutely clean rooms with an amazing view, with monkeys, tucans and hummingbirds right in front of your terrace. They organized limited available tickets for the national park for us, which is a must-do. They've also invited us to their local yearly turtle release festival which was simply stunning. And the food is awesome.

Very lovely old traditional house. The owner was super friendly. The property really lovely and location super convenient. We stayed in the separate cabin - it's modest, but very cozy and we loved having the screened-in porch to relax at night. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Amazing staff, always ready to help you! Great pool just in front of our room. They can book every activity you whant. A taxi pick you and drop you in a drake bay if you came by boat from Sierpe. Hope see you again 😊
