The hotel has a great location, everything is within easy reach. The rooms and common areas are well maintained and extremely clean, the staff is very kind and helpful, the breakfast is more than wonderful, there is a nice and pleasant garden. It s excellent, nothing to add more. My room had a kettle to make tea and coffee and a jar of water, a hairdryer. The hotel itself is super beautiful and quiet. The breakfast is so reach, they had a good options to choose from. Senora Damaris and Leider took very good care of me, I felt like at home. I would definitely stay again.

I really recommend this hostel ! The staff is the nicest i have ever seen in a hostel, especially Karen ! They are happy to help and have the best recommandations ! The beds are really comfy and there are hot showers ! They organize many activities where you can meet people if you are travelling solo : dinners to local restaurants, tejo, salsa. The view is also really beautiful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough !

This has been one of our best travel experiences. The entire team are exceptional hosts - warm, friendly, attentive. They work so hard to make this a nice stay for everyone, no matter your age or background. La Masia has different types of rooms, and we had one of the smaller standard rooms. It was cozy and peaceful, and the space outside is just fabulous. There are multiple benches and hammocks to hang out, or you just roam the beautiful garden with its trees full of birds, or have a chat with one of the staff (which was possible despite our bad Spanish!) They also have a good kitchen, with a hearty Colombian breakfast in the morning and solid Colombian dishes in the evening. And someone is always there to make you a coffee or tea in the afternoon and tell you to relax. Note that this hotel is located a bit outside of the town of Salento - but that makes it even better. You will not find the same peace in the town after a day of hiking or exploration. It's absolutely worth paying an Uber/ Taxi. There is a kiosk nearby where you can buy snacks and water, or you walk to the main road to grab a bite. It's a safe and village-like community where everyone greets you on the way. Thank you, Diego, Joanna and Jon and the entire team - we hope to come back one day.

The hotel also offers several additional services and information about tours in the area. If your plan is to disconnect without being too far away from the town (Filandia), Monte Tierra is perfect.
