The convenient location was our base for exploring the old streets filled with shops, stalls, restaurants, cafes, historical buildings, as well as new shopping malls across the main road. The friendly front counter lady gave suggestions on places to eat. We tried them and they were all great. The room was clean and comfortable. There’s ceiling heater to keep the shower area warm during winter.

Overall my recent stay at Intercontinental Kuming is with absolute satisfactory. Especially I was very happy for the assistance by the Concierge te4am. Mr Smulin was very helpful to me such as buying new air tickets to other city of China and further amendments as well as arrangement for my airport transfer. He was always very active with quick responses, willing to help and did his best. If I was asked, I would give him and his concierge team at Intercontinental Kuming the full score 10 out of 10. The hotel is modern, very clean, and the rooms are very well-sized. The reception is staffed by young people who really helped me communicate through Google Translate. This actually worked very well and also helped me get information about the city and book a tour to Shilin Stone Forest. I really liked the hotel.

Location is great. Near everything. The bathroom and toilet are clean with ample toiletries and lots of towels! Bed is super comfy and I love the big window in the room as I can see the beautiful blue sky and decided I should not waste such a lovely day 😅😅 And the staff are hospitable, too! They can't speak English very well but the important thing is that they try their best to communicate with me, and always send me their regards plus well wishes 🙆🙆🙆

The service staff from the door to the counter desk to be room service to the breakfast table are all impeccable and knowledgeable. Love the details inside of the hotel room. The room is spacious and with a very comfortable bed. But if you intend to add another bed, it might be quite challenging. It does come with a day bed near the window. Just request an extra pillow and blanket. This hotel is next to a big shopping mall with all the high-end shops.
