Historic Longmen Grottoes well worth a stopover. White Horse Temple, first Buddhist temple in China, was interesting but slightly underwhelming, especially with the distance from the city. We got a bit lost on arrival, but a gentleman caught us and led us to the hotel where they were waiting for us with a recorder ready with our language. It was a nice surprise. Breakfast was offered and they cared if we ordered enough for us. Delivery to the room and even included a ride to the train station. It greatly exceeded our expectations.
