I would definitely recommend this hotel to those visitors who search for a good quality for the modest price. The hotel itself is modern and clean, with the comfy rest zone, free laundry and very nice staff. Room itself was also big and clean, we really enjoyed our stay here. The day before our arrival hotel staff sent us an instruction and guide how to find a hotel, as it is located on the 5th floor of another hotel’s building (which was not a problem, we found it very quickly).

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Wuyu Hotel and felt compelled to share my thoroughly positive experience. This establishment excels in creating a harmonious blend of comfort, style, and impeccable service. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hotel’s distinct ambiance. The interior design is exceptionally well-considered, masterfully combining a sense of modern elegance with warm, rustic charm. The clever use of high ceilings, abundant natural lighting, and tasteful wooden furniture throughout creates an atmosphere that is both calming and profoundly cozy. While the lobby is intimate in size, this only serves to enhance its inviting, residential feel, much like a well-appointed living room, which immediately makes one feel at home. The quality of the accommodations is matched only by the excellence of the staff. The entire team was courteous and attentive, but I must offer a special commendation to Lucky. She provided outstanding service, offering insightful and personalized guidance on the various attractions I could visit in Chongqing. Her recommendations were invaluable and greatly enriched my exploration of the city. Her willingness to assist with any inquiry was consistently met with a genuine and cheerful attitude. Furthermore, the dining experience was a highlight of each morning. The breakfast offered a delightful array of options, all of which were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere in the dining area was relaxed and inviting, providing a perfect start to the day. A particular standout was the Chongqing noodles, which were an absolute culinary delight and a fantastic way to experience local flavor. Without any reservation, I highly recommend the Wuyu Hotel to any traveler seeking a refined, comfortable, and authentically welcoming base for their journey in Chongqing. It is a truly commendable establishment.

It was easy to find, very clean and the staff was super available. They even cleaned the room based on how I used it (I have a very disrupted sleep schedule so it happens that I leave the room at afternoon rather than in the first light of the morning). The view of my room was awesome with all the city skyscrapers and lights of the mall lighting up the scenery at night.

The city view at night are very beautiful, especially the places like ChaoTianMen /HongYaDong. The scenic tourist attractions/spots around the city are worth to visit and enjoy. The local foods, delicious yet spicy. Peoples are friendly, willing to help. The only thing I can complaint is that smokers are almost everywhere, even in the restaurants.

Chongqing Hotel was surprising as you get there by going to...

Chongqing Hotel was surprising as you get there by going to the 7th floor by lift front next to the KFC straight to the large reception area, never seen that before. Unfortunately I did not take a picture on my phone of the hotel, but got pictures of the park that was spectacular if you like nature, not one but two park areas next to hotel both great places to chill out.

I loved the pedestrian street walk. We loved the hotpot and street food with lots of fruits and fresh fruit juices We did not take boat cruise, nor try the subway because of time limitations to and from other cities

The layout of Chongqing is multi layered so you don't feel...

The layout of Chongqing is multi layered so you don't feel like you are in a mega city of 35 million people. Chongqing Dong (east) Railway Station which opened in June 2025 is mega big at 1.22 million square metres; it is still not fully functional eg some lifts and elevators are not operational yet. Also the food shops and coffee shops are still being fitted out. The light rail passing through the residential and retail building at Liziba Station of the Chongqing Rail Transit Line 2 is a must see. The cable car over the Yangtze River (aka Chang Jiang [river]) is OK but you can't see much when the pollution level is above "mild".

Built on different levels, Chongqing is a pretty cool city.

Built on different levels, Chongqing is a pretty cool city. Especially at night when all the bridges and buildings turn on their lights. Definitely recommend booking a walking tour of Chongqing with a local guide who will show you places easily missed otherwise. We were only here for a day, but we heard the zoo is really nice here and would have gone if we had more time.

Amazing City, so much to see.

Amazing City, so much to see. The buildings, old and new, were interesting to explore. There are so many stunning suspension bridges over the Yangtze river. Things to explore Ciqikou ancient Town, Show 1949 - with English ear piece Liziba Light rail station - inside a residential building Chongqing three gorges museum - mind it's closed on Monday Kuixing Tower - at road level but also at floor 22 on the adjacent hotel Monument of Jiefangbei - contrast of the old and the new Raffles city - the stunning buildings and the shopping mall Hongyadong - traditional food and tourist market - day & night The Grand theatre, pale green in the day but bright pink at night Cathedral Church The city lights at night - I went to the river below the Grand theatre, along with many other domestic tourists. Catching the subway - sky rail is easy & convenient. A travel card costs 25RMB deposit, pass it on once you have finished travelling, and the travel is very cheap. If subway isn't your thing, use Amap App to navigate and hail a DD or Uber using the App. Again, very reasonably priced, clean and well organized system. Finally, just chill, grove with the locals, look at the small but unexpected interesting aspects of the city and people watch.

Located in the best part of the city. Some of the main attractions are very close by. Upmarket shopping mall is part of the same complex. Some smaller shops and restaurants are in short walking distance. Property is about what you would expect for 5 stars although had a few disappointments as below. There was a laundry room that you could use for free which was a great bonus. Room was large well equipped clean and very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Absoulety love the place to bits, is Hilton service and amenities for the fraction of the price. Lovely staff and very helpful despite not speaking English they used the translator. Downton is walkable in 2 miles! Everything in the room is new and works perfectly! Super stay and THANK YOU for being my home for the end of my China trip!I LOVE CHONGQING! BEST CITY IN CHINA.!Lots of love from Romania and London!keep up with the good work, you are amazing!

The owners were such amazing people really helpfull and spoke great English! Never have I ever met such kind hearted hosts before! The hotel room was super clean and the hotel has an amazing rooftop on the 30th floor where you can look over Chongqing. Plus the hotel is located in the very middle of the city center. Would definitly recommend if you are looking for a space in Chongqing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within a shopping complex with many restaurants. It was around 30 minutes in a taxi to the centre of Chongqing but the hotel is in a quiet area and it was nice to be away from the chaos of the city. Breakfast was nice and good selections.
