Hotel was very easy to reach from train! Location was lovely. Owner was welcoming and it was perfect for a night prior to hiking. Breakfast was great with a nice choice.

We had a great stay – the accommodation was excellent value for money and had everything we needed. A special thanks to our host for being so flexible with our check-in time and for the smooth, hassle-free communication throughout. We loved our stay at Alpen Resort & Spa! Thanks for the upgrade to a room with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn! We really enjoyed the outdoor whirlpool and all the other spa facilities as well. The hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants in Zermatt. Accommodating staff. Afternoon cake and tea. We could use the spa during our last day as well which was very convenient as our train back was leaving in the evening.

The staff were so friendly and kind! The whole hotel was so cozy, the spa was amazing! Our room was excellent with a super comfortable bed. The breakfast was wonderful, they provide so many options. Will be staying here again if in zermatt again

We loved the hotel, it's traditional design and the views from the room. The room was clean, comfortable & well maintained. We highly recommend the hotel which is also in a great location which is close to the train station & on the main street. The hotel staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was good.

    Very nice aan idyllic place if you like to relax and hike. Great place to roam around and visit other places from there. Zermatt was a bit disappointing, but it was also off season. Nice for an afternoon, but beter to stay in Randa.

    The apartment is well-outfitted, bed is comfortable-firm but that's how we like it. You can even see the Klein Matterhorn lying in bed through the window on a clear day. Enough space for a family with 2 small kids to eat, sleep. Bonus was the trampoline in the garden and some footballs the kids could enjoy. Katarina the host was easy to reach at all times.

    The location is great, it's essentially a step away from the Randa train station. Great place if you want to stay close to Zermatt. We are welcomed by good coffee, in the afternoon and in the morning.
