Very welcoming and helpful staff. I would especially like to mention the following hotel employees: Lawrence, Julietta, Fabio, Bogdan and Adi. Magnificent view from the room to the lake. The room is comfortable. An unforgettable magic experience of visiting a Japanese restaurant Minamo with a chef Yutaka Kobayashi. Every dish was like a piece of art. Definitely come back again and will recommend to the friends.

Spectacular stay - one of the most magical places I've ever stayed overnight. During my visit, we awoke above the clouds to watch the sunrise, and the experience is simply stunning. The room was perfect - comfortable, clean and more tastefully decorated than other mountaintop hotels I visited in Switzerland. Since all food has to be shipped up to the hotel, the quality of dinner far exceeded my expectations and the dining room is beautiful and classic. Staff agreed to an early check-out to allow me to descend on the first funicular run, which I appreciated.

This was the best 5-star hotel we stayed in and not because of amenities but overall thought that the hotel team had put in the customer experience. Eric at front desk made us so very welcome, I think he is a trainee but did a fabulous job of checking us in. I would say one of the best exp we ever had. Multiple times (including post checkout), we were provided chocolates, muffins and water - all complimentary. They let us extend our checkout without any hassle, in fact kept our luggage post checkout when we had to pick up the car rental. It does not take money to give experiences to the customers, that is what I learnt from this team.

I highly recommend this hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here , the room the view everything was great. The stuff are super friendly. I was hesitating a bit to book because many people were complaining about climbing the stairs to reach the hotel but I found out that you can use a slope instead of the stairs if you are using GPs to get there by bus get out one station before what GPS shows. As I discovered the gps only shows the route where you can only climb the stairs to reach the hotel. However if you get out one station before there is a route where you can use slope ( I know no one wants to use stairs if they are carrying heavy luggage ) I would definitely stay here again if i ever come back highly recommended.

    Beautiful quaint town with lots to see.

    Beautiful quaint town with lots to see. If you don’t like crowds it won’t be for you. Costly to eat, however supermarkets are plenty and offer reasonable value. The Lion Monument is well worth a trip to see as is the fortress and funicular up to hotel for a drink.

    Beautiful town, so clean and everyone really welcoming and friendly. Easy to get around on buses and trains. Mount Pilatus is a very worthwhile trip with fantastic views. Take the funicular up to the hotel Gütsch and have a drink or meal looking down over Lucern, followed by a stroll in the woods. Lucerne is a great place for a short break but be prepared it is expensive compared to the UK

    Lucern is a beautiful city with so much to do and see. The scenery is stunning the day trips you can do are limitless & It’s that good it would be an amazing place to live. Visit the lake and the many day bars along the foreshore at sunset for a drink. You don’t normally associate Switzerland with amazing food however the seafood & the fresh meat were of the highest quality. We also visited Felsenegg Restaurant almost next to the Liv Appartments and this unassuming restaurant was as good as any restaurant anywhere in the world. The service, food wine list and attention to the dinners was amazing

    A beautiful and happy place with plenty to see and do - provided you are clever enough to carry every possible gadget for charging your phones and are lucky enough to get into the accommodation you book. Buses, trains etc are very convenient, and stores like CO-OP are convenient places to pick up essentials - as long as you are aware of the expenses involved and do all you shopping before 7pm!

    Honestly this was one of the prettiest towns I’ve ever visited. The architecture is amazing, the nature is stunning. The clothing shops are so nice. That being said, it’s also one of the most expensive towns I’ve ever been to. All the other places we visited in Switzerland were less expensive. Still, totally worth it. 3- 4 nights is probably enough.

    A beautiful city to relax in.

    A beautiful city to relax in. I am amazed the population is only 80,000 people! One of the buskers had a super voice and and was playing an unusual zither. I recommend putting your camera away and looking with your eyes, listening with your ears and feeling with all of your senses, otherwise how can you truly experience this place?

    The location is about 10 minutes fast walking to the train station in Lucerne. I had a good view of the river with the Chapel Bridge. The staff were excellent n very helpful.     The room has shutters and a ventilator on the ceiling. The bathroom was small but clean and nice. One of the bigger shower heads we got during our stay in Switzerland. The breakfast was great. The city center is about 1 km away. You can walk there. There was parking in the street behind the hotel for 16 CHF per 24h, which was a lot cheaper than some of the other parking lots we used on our trip.

    The hotel building is stunning and located on the higher ground with amazing view of Lucerne. It’s very easy to get up and down the hotel with the funicular, then a short walk (within 10 minutes) to the old town. The room is very small and internal stairs squeak, bed is too soft, otherwise it’s comfortable. Staff are very friendly and polite.
