The location is just amazing, the fact that there is parking spot infront of the door. Also the connection to Interlaken or Thun is perfect located. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with my dog. I luckily got upgraded room to a larger, direct access to the terrace. It was very spacious, bed mattress was new and comfortable, all the facilities were renovated so the cleanliness was excellent. The surrounding view was exceptionally beautiful, and there were plenty of walking courses. Breakfast was made with local ingredients which is great,small but filling. All the staff were friendly, especially the owner, Celine. She was very professional and friendly. Thank you for her warm hospitality.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is literally steps away from the train. Even with the hotel being by the train station we didn’t hear any noise. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We had breakfast at the hotel every day, the food area was clean, food was made fresh and was promptly replenished. I personally loved the grilled vegetables. My wife really liked having assortment of cold and hot options. The staff is beyond amazing! We interacted with Eduardo at the front desk, Guido and Anna at the bar lounge. When we checked in Eduardo took the time to share what activities we could do with rain in interlaken, he also shared cameras of different areas nearby and made suggestions. Guido at the lounge is AMAZING!!! He made recommendations based on our time and was very genuine in his interactions. At the end of the day he would ask how everything was. Anna greeted us goodbye even from far away. It was a very personal stay, we are on our honeymoon and will cherish this stay in Essential by Dorint Interlaken West forever thanks to these 3 staff members.

Cute little town on Lake Thun with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Quaint and very cozy. Very close to Interlaken - just 15mins away, making it super convenient for visiting restaurants, grocery stores etc. Central to multiple attractions like Thun, Brienz, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen etc.

This place is amazing and feels even better than home! The views are absolutely stunning, like something out of a dream. The heater worked perfectly, making the house so warm and cozy. Everything we needed was provided, and all the facilities were in great condition. The owner was super friendly and gave clear and helpful instructions, even though we didn’t meet in person. I highly recommend this place to everyone. It’s an unforgettable experience, and I will definitely come back if I visit Switzerland again!

What an amazing stay we have had in this beautiful place. Martin and Maya where warm, hospitable, and out lots of through into our stay. We are extremely glad that we booked this place for our stay in Switzerland. We have had access to skiing opportunities via a short train ride, and the ‘Top of Europe’ can also be reached like this also. If you are thinking of coming to Switzerland, please book this place!

Brilliant location in a serene village on the Thunersee, smackbang in the middle of an outstandingly beautiful part of Switzerland. A very good spot for all kinds of day trips into nature or towns. Simple but good facilities on the ground floor for storing and preparing food. Host very responsive, check-in very easy, adequate parking space.

Lovely hotel, brilliant location with gorgeous views from our window and balcony. Very helpful staff and good breakfast. Evening restaurant good too. Great onsite parking. Spacious rooms, very helpful proprietors too..We were even provided with some adaptors to use in the hotel.
