The staff were friendly and accomodating to us. They were flexible with check in times, allowing us to use their extra facilities and the owner Oliver drove me to Andermatt at 5 am in his van because the public transport had not started for the day.

First, I don’t usually give tens, but Hotel Gerig and their staff more than deserve it. They made our one-night stay exceptionally pleasant. Already at reception we immediately felt at home. When asked about a possible walk to take he went outside with us to show the way. Two other staff members were extremely nice to my 6-year old. The hotel is very nicely decorated with art and pictures all over. The restaurant has excellent evening food and breakfast and looks as welcoming as the rest. On top of that the bedroom was great! Easy to reach from Göschenen by bus (stop Wassen Dorf)

It is an amazing place. The accommodation has EVERYTHING you need. From oils and herbs for meals; teas and filled coffee machine: dishwasher tablets, hair-dryers and charger cables and adaptors. She had thought of everything! After coming from camping near Venice, this was a 5 Star hotel!!! Worth every Frank. We have a VW Caddimaxi and made it up the steep drive....not a problem! We are travelling with family visiting from Australia. After arriving at this amazing location and house, we just had to finish the experience with a Swiss Cheese Fondue, which complimented the delicious red wine and chocolates that we were gifted on arrival.

An amazing apartment in a quiet village. It was spacious, clean, well-equipped for a long stay, with comfortable beds and a mountain view. The host was exceptional, helping us with everything, providing clear instructions on how to find the apartment, answering our questions promptly and even leaving us a welcome present (much appreciated).     Nice place.

    Nice place. I used it for an overnight stop, whilst continuing the next day to Italy. It is clean, price is right, nothing special. Price and quality match, people are friendly. I phoned in advance to check how to find it, the owner explained this to me clearly and in a friendly way. Not far from the highway, next morning I was in 10 minutes back on it.

    Ollie the host was fabulous as was the cook Sven. They made our stay super comfortable and welcoming and the hotel had a real 'homely' feel. Food and drink were good value and the houtly/bus which connects with the train from Göschenen to Andermatt worked very well, for those not wanting to pay super expensive hotel accommodation up there. The Schnitzel and also Corden Bleu comes recommended. Breakfasts were great too

    Beautiful location with amazing views in the mountains, not far from Wassen. The room was cosy and warm Woke up to the sound of cow bells in the grazing area around the hotel, blissful. Staff were very friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were both very good. Very good value for money for Switzerland.

    Great location en-route to Italy from the north. Great for an early start through the Gotthard Tunnel. Beautiful surroundings and quiet street. Friendly staff, excellent beds and animal friendly hotel (travelling with 2 cats).
