Salmon Arm area is a nice place to visit.

Salmon Arm area is a nice place to visit. We were just passing through on our way to Abbotsford & Vancouver. It’s not a big place but there are a few adult restaurants & all the fast food places. We eat at the Barley Station for dinner & Blue Jays game. Getting around is easy if you are driving.

Salmon Arm's location at the end of Shuswap Lake is breathtaking on a clear fall day. The nature sanctuary walk along the lakeshore is a great way to experience the area. Shopping downtown is varied, and there are multiple restaurants, coffee shops and gift shops to browse in. Highway traffic right through Salmon Arm is a downside, but if you get off of the main road, you'll be rewarded with a lovely small town.

Nice sized smaller city with all the basics within a short distance. Right on the lake. Lots of fresh farm produce in season and relatively mild climate. Not as hot as the Okanagan usually, and more wet.

We stayed in Salmon Arm on our travels from Vancouver to Canmore. Very convenient location and clean, tidy, safe and comfortable accommodation. Continental breakfast available beside the reception. Can make your own waffles :)

We always enjoy checking out the antique shops etc and new food places. Due to our difficulties and having to find other accommodations there wasn't much time for that so we just relaxed at the 2nd place we went to. Salmon Arm is a nice area to visit and has a lot of different things to see. Great produce and fruit stands and wood carvers among other things. Although we've stayed numerous times at the Super 8 before we will never again book there. It was a shock and great disappointment to see the changes there. and to hear how others were also being treated during their week long stay as well.

We really liked the beautiful Rotary Park by the wharf.

We really liked the beautiful Rotary Park by the wharf. The wharf was interesting too as the longest curved inland wharf in North America. The ice cream stand at the end of it was a pleasant surprise. All parts of the city we were in had exceptional floral beds … even shops where you would never expect them.

It is a lovely hotel nestled in the forest adjacent to Salmon Arm Golf Course. It is a peaceful, pastoral setting. We were in the "Beach" suite; a very large room with two Queen beds and all the amenities you would expect. Spotlessly clean. Glass doors opened to a lovely garden view and private patio. Very close to both Salmon Arm and Shuswap National golf courses. A short drive to all the restaurants and shopping in Salmon Arm. Our host, Joe, was warm, welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Good stay. Rooms were large, clean and practical. Breakfast was substantial and just what we needed to get us on the road again quickly. Only disappointing thing was the pool and hot tub closed for maintenance, but overall the hotel was good value for money, and perfect for our needs as a family of 4 with 2 small kids.

Disappointing - What previous guests thought, 638 reviews
Breakfast was completely gone except for 2 or 3 slices of bread by the time we arrived at 8:00 a.m. No coffee, nothing left. The workers staying at the hotel must clean them out first thing in the morning and nothing was replenished. We ended up going to a nearby restaurant.

The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The pool was lovely and there was a variety of seating options in the gardens. We were happy to be able to have dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was basic but adequate.

It was a nice hotel. It's older and a little outdated but clean and looks well maintained.
