As we were on a motorcycle trip with a specific agenda it didn't allow for extra time to be spent exploring Powell River but definitely a return visit is in the future plans. It's a lovely town and our accommodation was fabulous!!

Powell River is a "jumping off point" for outdoor enthusiasts and has loads of natural beauty. The town itself is nothing special, but the local people have a welcoming, casual and unpretentious vibe that is really charming. The Old Courthouse Inn and its Edie Rae Cafe are a slice of the Victorian past. Magpie's has delicious breakfasts with a Ukrainian flare.

Powell River is a pleasant surprise once you get there by ferry. It has charm and a heritage feel to the lovely old neighbourhoods. There is history worth noting. The people were very friendly, it was easy to find dining. I wouldn't have guessed 'Snickers' to be a Greek restaurant but we gave it a try. The portions were huge! And the ferry ride over to Vancouver Island was right in the middle of town and easy to access.

The area is beautiful, especially when looking west at the ocean. People were very friendly everywhere we went. There are some great restaurants. However, electric vehicle charging could have been better.

I grew up here, so it’s always nice to return. It’s a very different town now that the paper mill has closed. Not as vibrant, but the historic townsite is still very interesting to see. The Patricia Theatre is the oldest working cinema in BC. There are good trails and places for water sports.

I enjoyed the many trail options and the gorgeous sunsets, especially viewed from Willington beach. Really enjoyed walking the well maintained seawall. Also, enjoyed the friendly pickleball club, they were very welcoming. The choice of diverse restaurants was appreciated. The people are relaxed and friendly. Our favourite restaurant was the Cookery in Powell river. Getting around via bike ,bus or shuttle option was easy.

The past that arrive in the future. One historical building in the historical district of Powell River. The house is a fantastic journey in to the past, in the pioneer era with photos, object, fornitures. But the hotel has all you need in modern time. Room clean with a perfect bathroom, coffee maker and patio. Quick check inn and parking space. Near by foot, you can find a good restaurant and a smart brewery and the historical theathe-cinema Patricia. But if you want the Powell River downtown is a 5minutes by car.

Hotel in the process of renovations. Front desk (Marwa) very hospitable and accommodating. Called our room after check in to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Offered assistance to carry up our bags. Nice touch! Very convenient location just off the ferry with views of the terminal. Quiet room. Prompt assistance with levelling the refridgerator. Room was nicely renovated and had a wonderful rain shower. Free parking.

Very cool building. Built in 1911, The Rodmay is Powell Rivers very first commercial building. Lots of character and quirkiness. The owner, Charlie, is very helpful and is working hard to bring the hotel up to date. Much of them interior of the building is still original.

Quirky but lovely , setting was so stunning and very quiet. Very clean and quite unique but although small was very well equipped and a delight to stay in. Sadly we were too late to try the adjacent restaurant but looked lovely and menu looked very inviting.
