We travel in October to the Island. Stop overnight in Pemberton so we are not rushing to catch a ferry. However, most of the restaurants are closed (maybe for the winter season) not sure why. But very hard to find food to suit everyone. The pizza place was excellent and one of the two places open.

We just stayed over night.
We just stayed over night. Not much to do from the walking distance. It is in the valley bottom, mountain trails and tops are not so close with easy access (or maybe we didn't look enough well for them). We wanted to be on higher altitudes, but Pemberton is certainly not yet that high and close to the sky.

Only here for one day and that was long enough.
Only here for one day and that was long enough. Not much going on that we could see. We ate at the Thai restaurant just out of town which was good, basic decor but food tasty and good value, would recommend.

I have already reviewed this property as 'Kangaroo".
I have already reviewed this property as 'Kangaroo".
The owner's response is a total lie ....
- it wasn't hot weather.
- we NEVER left the fridge open
- the 3/4 hour of check in drill was excessive and unnecessary, as were the endless written instructions placed all around the unit.
- Susan became quite annoyed after she told me we must not raise the blind over the main viewing window, and I told her we WOULD be opening the blind in order to enjoy this much promoted view of the mountains, as this was the main reason we selected this property.
- we were helpful in alerting the owners to the structural cause of some of the issues requiring special care instructions, such as leaking from the shower and the kitchen drainboard.
- stay here only if if you are happy to abide by 100s of rules.

The hotel was dirty.
The hotel was dirty. The bathroom was noisy as the light and fan have the same switch. Aircon was rusty and did not work. The kitchen was awkwardly designed as the single bed was blocking the door. You have to move the bed to access the kitchen.
It was very expensive for a very basic dilapidated motel. We were stuck so we had to stay there.
Will recommend to anyone, unless you absolutely stuck.

The town is well located and very quiet.
The town is well located and very quiet. It takes about half an hour to drive to Lake Joffer. However, there are not many restaurants and scenic spots, so it can be used as a temporary rest place when passing through here.

Very service minded staff in the reception, large room for 4 people with one double bed and one sofa bed, nice touch with the whirlpool outside (we enjoyed it a lot), perfect parking in the underground garage. Less than 30 minutes drive to Whistler and 2 minutes drive to downtown Pemberton with restaurants such as the Town Square e.g. It is not fancy, which we appreciated a lot, but clean and practical for a one night stay, with very comfortable beds. Very cozy reception area.
Such a beautiful log building and the attention to detail from the owners in decorating the spaces was unbelievable. Donna was an amazing hospitable host, really made us feel at home there and cooked us a delicious healthy breakfast in the morning. The fireplace, reading loft and hot tub areas were great places to relax and soak up the views of the mountains
