Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail.
Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail. Therefore very few restaurants. They also close early in the shoulder season so good to keep in mind. The main restaurant was Belles and it had a good selection on the menu. The lobster roll was okay and the seafood chowder good.

Margaree Harbour has a small-town feel and is much smaller...
Margaree Harbour has a small-town feel and is much smaller than the better-known Cheticamp. A walk to the beach nearby will reveal the small-town charm as locals say hi and wave as you pass by. The beach in town is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s likely you’ll be one of the only ones on it.

The location is perfect - right at the turn off at Margaree Harbour 19 & 219
It is an older home - quaint & cozy - but do expect some slanted floors. The decor is antique, music history & charm
The people are lovely and chatty. They are older with some health issues - but will still try to bring your luggage upstairs (I insisted since my suitcase was HEAVY & I can lift)
Breakfast is served after 8am....which is when the fog lifts so perfect for our driving plans

The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. The 2 occasional chairs in the room were the comfiest hotel chairs I’ve ever sat on. The view was impressive it was lovely being able to sit on a private balcony and look out on the water. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Large clean room with comfortable beds. Bathroom had been updated recently and was large and bright. It has a wonderful view of the bay and was a great place to start exploration of northern Nova Scotia. The hosts were very nice.
