We came for a weekend to take the 1000 island cruise and...
We came for a weekend to take the 1000 island cruise and visit the Boldt Castle.
I was disappointed in the lack of fall colors, but were very impressed with the organization of the cruise and was very impressed with touring Boldt Castle.
There was a large of number of restaurants in the area to choose from.
Would have enjoyed going to the Royal Theater, but nothing playing while we were there.

Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000...
Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000 islands on the Canadian side. The town had some nice restaurants. The Old English Pub, Purple House and Grayson's at Wood View Inn. took a 5 Hour tour with City Cruises of the 100 Island with a stop at Boldens castle from the docks in town. It was fantastic. The vibe in town is very much geared to tourism. When i planned this trip I knew nothing about Gananoque, but I hit a home run.

A beautiful small town located on the beautiful Saint Lawrence River. This area offers so much to see and do. The people are very friendly and make you feel welcome. I love this place and everything about it. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Gananoque offers a lively street scene for visitors well into the evening. Lots of pubs and restaurants to dine and hang out in, do people watching and enjoy the view if you're on the water. Visitors come from all over. River cruises available at the marina. A charming and very enjoyable place to spend a night or two.

Gananoque is a spectacular area to visit and stay a while: The water, the water activities including the boat cruises; the relaxing atmosphere of the town and people there, places to walk in town, and the drive there and back on the Thousand Island Parkway - spectacular!

The area is Beautiful, lots to do and see. It was hard to find restaurants on the water, only a few and you cannot trust the reviews people all have opinions most are not accurate. We were interested in a dinner cruise, could not find any info on such.

This was probably the very first hotel, out of many I have stayed in, that made me feel at home!! The cleanliness, interior, staff and service was exceptional. I had a chance to chat with both Philip and Melissa and it was as if I had known them for long. Not to mention, how my name displayed on the TV screen as a warm welcome along with the ability to connect Netflix and watch youtube. I have never seen that in other competitor hotels! We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

Hotel is basic with clean room which is spacious for us (family of 4 adults and 2 kids), bathroon newly renovated but the exhaust fan too loud. Just stayed one night, we were happy to have a full size couch and 3 chairs for our take-out dinner and watch TV. Light breakfast at 8:30am (self-service) at the hotel reception area with coffee, juice, cookies, toasted bread, jam/butter, yogurt & banana. Hotel location is easy to find and close to Gananoque cruise port.

The location is perfect, the staff is very attentive and friendly, the facility is really clean even if it is not very new. The pool is also big enough. We stayed as 2 families and we were very satisfied with this hotel.
