First of all, the hostess, Veena, is a very nice, friendly and kind lady. I am so happy to meet her. I enjoyed talking with her while having lovely breakfast with home made jam, which impressed me. Beautiful hostel located in the former general store. Lots of wood and character. Spotless. Good ratio bathroom per person. Very comfortable bed. The kitchen is very well equipped, including some basics such as salt and sugar. Lots of games in the common room. Free parking just outside.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Emily’s house! The house is not only beautiful and very cozy, but also perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need – and spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and simply taking in the peaceful atmosphere. What truly makes Velvet Fern Guesthouse special is the thoughtful and loving attention to detail: everything was personally and carefully prepared for our arrival, including a lovely breakfast and bikes we could use – such a kind touch!
