Mountain and Comox Bay Scenery were great.
Mountain and Comox Bay Scenery were great. Downtown Courtenay had many interesting shops, good coffee shops and bakery. Traffic across river can be slow at times. Adjacent to Comox is a bonus with Comox marina, beautiful sea views and Comox airport is 4 km from Courtenay. Courtenay is walkable. Chocolate shop/bakery on main street not to be missed.

Stopped here one night before flying from Comox airport. Seemed a nice local town and residential area with small independent shops. We didn’t have time to visit any nearby attractions or eat at local restaurants.

People were nice.
People were nice. Beaches along the coast were lovely and a good place to stay for visiting Courtenay itself and to use as a base for visiting other places.
We ate at the Atlas Cade the first night and it was so good we went there again the second night. Great wait staff and great food.

We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but unfortunately, this winter has almost no snow, but that's ok, it was our first time in town and it was nice, we had great food at Local and The Hen and Hog Cafe, I definitely recommend those two places.

With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all...
With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. There are plenty of coffee shops, a brewery and bakery and great ethnic preferences for dinner dining. I always enjoy our visits.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel and found it excellent. Its quality exceeds many 4 star hotels. Attractive lobby and dining areas. The rooms were very comfortable and well furnished. We could open the window rather than relying on aircon. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. Our family loved the indoor pool and slide. Staff had good eating recommendations. I would happily stay there again and definitely recommend this hotel.

the bkfst was very nice - really appreciated the extremely comfortable bed - the area was very quiet which was what I had tried to find - usually stay in Courtenay but it is getting too noisy and busy now - also was nice to be between Royston and
Union Bay and visit different areas this time - great shower and nice amenities

The renovations have made it a completely different hotel! The rainfall shower is amazing and the new beds are super comfy. There's an outdoor BBQ area now and an outdoor fire place too! They had treats for our dogs. The lounge has big TVs, shuffleboard, board games, free tee/coffee, and a water bottle refilling station.

The breakfast was great and a full breakfast too. So, a great value. Pancakes, pork sausage, bacon, eggs, juice, coffee, and more. The location was great and was fairly close to Mt. Washington and downtown Courtenay.
