We have visited Christina Lake 5 or 6 times in the last 10 years. It is always a dear option to choose from. The lake is one of the most beautiful in Canada. The beach rivals Mexico at its best, large with nice sand. The landscape is amazing, with nice fully wooden slopes, lush vegetation, all green. The lake's water is warm for swimming, but is so clean and transparent you can see the bottom algae in 3 meters deep water. The BC Provincial Park seems to be well administered. Try the place and you'll not regret!

nice lake town, but access to the lake is not very easy.
nice lake town, but access to the lake is not very easy. It was late september so we missed the crowds.
Really enjoyed our breakfasts at Pony Espresso, order the eggs benedict, they are very good.
The Christina Lake golf course is worth the drive.

Just a beautiful destination for a quiet getaway.
Just a beautiful destination for a quiet getaway. Lots of outdoor activities and lots of pop up places to eat right on the crows nest highway. The weather is always good and so much outdoor activities to take in. Keep in mind this is a small village and commercial nightlife is not a thing. You can see why people with families and those that want quiet time go there. The grocery store is always stocked at ok prices with a liquor store inside. Short drive from the village site for hiking and to the Christina golf course. Book early as the heat becomes unbearable after 10am+/-. There was no place i would not go while there-very safe and not a lot of people-even in July. I like the fact that. I also like the fact it is only a 7hr 604km trip from Lethbridge with a bathroom break. Driving on good highways in beautiful scenery all the way. Regardless, always leave early if summer vacationing as the drive can turn into 8hrs very easily with RV highway traffic-no one wants to wait. Very pleased to report no major highway construction and many more passing lanes just makes the trip better (2024). They even tell you when the next passing lane is available in km. The 'not knowing' was always a frustration. The drive was always bitter sweet but the above changes really help make the journey that much more pleasurable. If that is your thing gas, food, rest stops are never far away on the journey.

Best to do your research or talk to locals beforehand because most attractions are hidden and very little is listed online. Nothing is open past 9pm (not even a gas station) so stock your mini fridge while the Market is open if you're staying in a hotel.

Christina Lake is the warmest tree lined lake in Canada.
Christina Lake is the warmest tree lined lake in Canada. Perfect for swimming and paddle boarding. Deep lake for power boats.
Close to Grand Forks if you need groceries. Corner store on the highway close by. Big public beach with one end for dogs. We’ll come again.

Great little town, we went in early April so not much was open for the season yet. The welcome center has a coffee shop that makes delicious breakfast and lunch meals and fantastic lattes. The cycling on the rail trail was amazing, we will probably go back many more times.

Great location across from Christina Lake. Convenient to have a microwave in the room. I enjoyed the gazebo area in the evening and the small table and chair outside my door for my morning coffee. It was surprisingly quiet and I slept amazingly well. The room was very clean and the complimentary toiletries was a nice touch.

I really liked the cozy bed and warm blankets. I had brought a spare blanket because i'm sometimes cold in hotels/motels.
I didn't have any interaction with staff so couldn't answer that question above. But door was left open and much appreciated.

The staff was always so accommodating, informative and extremely pleasant. We also love the little adorable "guard dog" she was an added treat. Room was very clean!! We stayed in three different hotels and by far this was the cleanest.
