The room was clean, comfortable. The bed was wonderful. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. It’s an older home, on a large farm, on the ocean, We just loved it. The serenity of it was great.

Bouctouche is a sleepy little town with few shops and restaurants. It’s benefit is being located next to a beautiful beach at the Irving Eco park and half way between the national park and Parlee beach. I can recommend the ice cream shop in town. It had the biggest small ice creams my kids have ever seen.

We needed a place near PEI in the direction of heading north west the next day. But seeing the area the next day as we left we thought it would have been nice to spend more time there. We did drive through the Irving garden up the road before we left.

For a winter trip, it was great for one day.

For a winter trip, it was great for one day. You can walk on the boardwalk of the Irving Eco-Park, go ice-fishing and drive to nearby Kouchibouguac National Park. There are several nice restaurants in Bouctouche. In summer, you can swim in the warm waters of the Northumberland Bay and a longer stay is recommended.

We were there late Sunday, Monday left on Tuesday.

We were there late Sunday, Monday left on Tuesday. Sunday many places were closed and surprise Monday and Tuesday also for some reason. The museum is open Sunday from 1-5 lots of missed opportunity for visitors. Pays de la Sagoine was not fully operational due to COVID not willing to pay entrance for a virtually nonfunctioning site. A good cup of coffee is hard to find unless you are a Tim’s addict: Tim’s has two speeds of service slow and slower. Great location mid way between Shediac and Kouchibouquac and the dunes in Bouctouche are wonderful.
