The is a wonderfully unique experience as you are literally sleeping in the museum. I felt like we should be dressed in period costumes. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and the bathrooms nicely updated., Rhea gave us a very warm welcome. Continental breakfast was lovely. Tea and coffee available all day in the parlour.

    Amazing!

Amazing! Stepping back in time and the immersion acting troupe were fantastic. Not awkward to converse with them! The tours were stellar and I recommend staying at the St. George Hotel to add to the feeling of being back in time. The place is so quiet at night and it was thrilling to walk around after everyone else went home!

I've wanted to visit forever and finally got my chance.

I've wanted to visit forever and finally got my chance. So much to see and do! I really enjoyed the theatre show, cemetery tour, and Indigenous drum circle among other activities. The restaurants and bakery all had delicious food (although very little for my vegan friend to eat) and the candy shops are dangerous for any diet! Get the tin cup at the coffee shop and enjoy refills all day for the price of one Starbucks! I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of restrooms and the option to pay by debit or credit almost everywhere. Free wifi throughout Barkerville is handy if you lose your group members although we tried to stay unplugged otherwise.
