Asse has no particular appeal other than escaping the stress of Brussels traffic and the LEZ (Low Emission Zone). The train line provides direct service to Brussels stations for €4.50. Driving is difficult due to roadworks.

We only stayed in Asse for one night because our daughter...

We only stayed in Asse for one night because our daughter had a competition in Wemmel. So it was very convenient and not too expensive, except for the breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I can't say anything about Asse, the choice was dictated by...

I can't say anything about Asse, the choice was dictated by the type of structure, the price and the convenience of public transport (train and bus) to go practically everywhere (I did Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp. For Charleroi I opted for the car for personal reasons).

Asse isn't extraordinary in itself, but it's an ideal base...

Asse isn't extraordinary in itself, but it's an ideal base for visiting beautiful Belgian cities and close to the countryside for walking and cycling. Plenty of shops for supplies.

I think this hotel is perfect for a short stay.

I think this hotel is perfect for a short stay. I'm talking about a weekend or four to five days, without much luggage. It's also not suitable for working in the room, apart from the street noise if you have a room facing the N9. Otherwise, they make a great effort to keep everything clean. The shower and the rest of the bathroom are in very good condition and have been renovated.
