There are plenty of fish to be caught of the wallaroo jetty ( watched a guy catch a huge king fish ) also there is a protected swimming area to the right of the jetty with shark netting and a pontoon in the middle for jumping off. The towns people are super friendly and it's quite a relaxing atmosphere.

We had the perfect beach weather and Wallaroo exceeded our expectations being a smaller country town with all the facilities needed by us. The location of our apartment enabled us to enjoy beautiful sunrises. It was quiet. All food experiences were great.

A quiet little town.

A quiet little town. Long Beach / North beach is a beautiful expanse of white sand in a wide bay with shallow water. can drive onto the beach as well. The jetty is a great spot for fishing ( if that is your thing) and apparently a good spot to catch Blue Swimmer Crabs. Some interesting history with previous copper smelting , Welsh miners and some interesting Maritime stories. The little town museum is fascinating. There are a few cafes and restaurants , with Coopers Alehouse at the Marina always available for a good feed and The Bond Store in the Main Street which has an onsite Brewery, Distillery and Restaurant.

We had trouble finding the best (and we think only) fish and chip shop open during the evenings. But the effort locating it was well worth the best fish We've ever eaten. Our children loved the local playground. Having Moonta Bay Splash Park and the Kadina playground so close was wonderful.

It's a SA country town. There are nice views of the harbour. It's got an interesting history and some old architecture. There's evidence of the old copper industry. It's a big wheat terminal port.

Revamped Queen size Room was very comfortable and affordable and clean. Felt really at home. Had 3 meals in hotel eatery, not 1 complaint. Everything was very fresh and enjoyable. Between my wife and myself had 6 different types of meals and we enjoyed every bite. Front bar barman was outstanding and dining room staff fantastic, especially the manager lady . Could not go out of their way any more than they did.

It is ideally located a very short walk from the Main Street precinct, a couple of great hotels/ eateries and not far from the jetty and beach. Easy off street parking and was quiet and felt safe. The room was well equipped with plenty of power points, good tv and great air conditioning.
