This is a wonderful, beautifully designed hotel in an ideal location for exploring Sydney. The staff is exceptionally friendly and made our stay truly memorable. If we ever have the chance to visit Sydney again, we will definitely return to this hotel.

I spontaneously decided to spend the first two nights in Sydney here and it was just perfect. So great that I immediately rescheduled and will also spend my last two nights in Sydney there. It really is a little paradise, the room was beautiful and large, right outside my window lived a koala that I loved watching. It was wonderfully quiet, just the sounds of the animals at night. The staff is extremely friendly and immensely helpful and accommodating. ThanksThe Restaursnt was an experience in itself. Not cheap, but definitely worth the money. Excellent quality and the view of Sydney harbor at night...gorgeous. For those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and noise of the city, or like me: looking for a soft entry, the ideal place!

Great staff, exceptionally clean facilities, and a lovely location. Despite having a shared bathroom, which I was initially concerned about, it was exceptionally clean, and with multiple bathrooms available, there was never a wait in line. The kitchen was also impeccably clean and well-maintained. The guests staying there were very respectful and of varying ages. The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful with any questions or requests I had. Bondi Beach is a 20-minute walk away, with numerous dining and shopping options along the main streets. Baxley is situated on a tranquil street, free from noise disturbances.

Nothing to complain for this hotel, as you can see I gave them a 10 point. But just to remind you that there are several places with the similar name of "Meriton something something" and make sure you do not get to a wrong one. In our case, I am pretty sure where it is in my google map, but the taxi driver insist going to another one which was wrong... A lot of restaurant and supermarket nearby, and close to airport!

First visit to Sydney was very good.

First visit to Sydney was very good. Weather was sunny and warm. Second visit was a disaster, raining the whole visit. An appalling experience going to the Accor stadium, half hour train journey, to a location in the middle of nowhere. No bars, cloudbursts at regular intervals. And we lost. A awful experience.

Sydney fantastic city, visit several times a year. Unfortunately, did not stay at Spacious private room study room attached minutes away from Eastwood in Sydney. Booking venue never submitted check in details prior to booking date and never returned voice messages left and no response to emails requesting check in details. $250 payment debited to credit card and requested refund due to no correspondence received from spacious private room study room, I am under impression listing is a scam due to events experienced August 21 & 22 of 2025. Call venue cell number prior to making payment for address details and contact with owner or you will lose prepayment.

Sydney, Australia is simply breathtaking, an absolute gem of the world! From the iconic Sydney Opera House and the dazzling Harbour Bridge to the golden sands of Bondi and Manly Beach, every corner feels like a postcard. The city beautifully blends modern vibrance with laid-back coastal charm, offering world-class dining, stunning waterfront views, and endless cultural experiences. What makes Sydney truly special, though, is the warmth of its people and the incredible energy that flows through the city day and night. If there’s one destination that deserves to be on everyone’s bucket list, it’s Sydney, pure perfection in every way!

Location is excellent. One of cheapest hotels in Sydney with awesome views. Great pub downstairs. And there’s another bar on L4 with a number of lounges to sit in. Restaurant/bar on L5 but more formal-no flip flops allowed. Lovely staff and old historical building. Walk outside literally down some steps and you’re on the harbour. 15 minutes walk to opera house or you can cut through The Rocks area and walk in 5 minutes. The city is 10 minutes walk the other direction so everything is nearby.

As I was flying into Sydney for 1 night and catching an international flight the following morning, the hotels location and the fact that a shuttle bus to and from both airports was available made Travelodge ideal for my needs. The facilities were very clean and comfortable and I had everything required. Breakfast onsite was another bonus and reason why I’ll stay atvTravelodge again when next travelling.
