I personally wouldn't go there, as I'm not keen on the place. It was just that little too far for my Wife to drive from the Eastern Suburbs out there, back & then back out there again the next morning.

We dined at 'The Royal Richmond Hotel', decor lovely.

We dined at 'The Royal Richmond Hotel', decor lovely. Staff helpful and friendly. We had a great private table for two. Food excellent. We ordered the Wagyu Beef Pie and the Portobello Mushroom Lasagne (Vegetarian) —the best Lasagne I have ever eaten! Would definitely return and try the other dishes. Richmond is an old town. It has lovely parklands and ancient leafy trees. We drove up to Mount Tomah in the Blue Mountains and dined at the Botanical Gardens Cafe, with fabulous views. A drive through Bilpin is worth the trip as long as you do not mind steep, winding roads. Lots of interesting places to explore en route, and you can easily spend a weekend or more in this area.

A pleasant, attractive town on the edge of the Sydney rail network and easy reach by road to the lower Blue Mountains. We found a warm welcome at the local Uniting Church (St Andrew's) on the Sunday morning.

Richmond is a great spot on Sydney's outskirts right at the foothills of the Blue Mountains. I arrived late on the night before I intended to travel west to avoid travelling through Sydney traffic in the morning, and had a lovely refreshed start to the day

The beds are very comfortable and clean.

The beds are very comfortable and clean. Parking is not good and had to park on the street upon arrival due to no parking spots available. The rooms are a bit noisy until early hours of the morning. No breakfast available.
