Part of a five-night road trip from Launceston and back in the North East. Ross was our favourite by far. Take your time, history at your fingertips. Early spring was quieter, but they are obviously gearing up for the coming months.

The cottage was very welcoming.
The cottage was very welcoming. It was comfortably furnished and it was great to have the heater going on our arrival. The central location was close to the town but far enough away for country style privacy.

Ross is really beautiful place that's friendly, safe and relaxing to be in. Enough shops and places to see and entertain. It was my second visit. Next day I went to Evandale and realised how more relaxing Ross is. Evandale's main road has big trucks and cars rushing through, the locals have large dogs, two were loose so I didn't feel comfortable walking in the street to see the lovely homes. Some of the homes in Evandale are more grand but Ross is more historic. Dining is much better in Ross than Evandale. The food in Ross is fresh and made by professionals. In Evandale my quiche was microwaved rock hard and eleclair had mock cream as was at least a day old, it was Monday, but if I pay top price for food I expect it fresh.

I was sad (but can understand why) that the pub was closed on a Monday/Tuesday as we would have loved the experience. We loved exploring the wool Museum and seeing more of the history of Ross, the Convict bakery, the bridge and the Female factory history. The whole town is a delight to walk around

very small area for BBQ and kitchen.
very small area for BBQ and kitchen. Only one electric BBQ stove and one small electric frying pan. Dirty environment, just next to laundry room and one wooden outdoor table with stuff on it. Need time to clean up before cooking. Not recommend to cook in this hotel. However not much option for dinner in Ross

Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. Lots of little shops and walks around the town. Sunsets over the bridge and the river are stunning. Locals very friendly. Local Ross Hotel's food was really good. The menu was great.

This little cottage was so cosy. Firebox was exceptional, bedding and linen were gorgeous and the space was tastefully decorated. The bathroom was a dream, kept warm by the heater. Ross as a village was historically beautiful and we took the opportunity to ride the bikes around. The hot tub….what can be said but AWESOME!!! What a treat to stay in this amazing cottage, could have stayed longer, thank you ❤️

A group of six of us, including my husband, my elderly mother, grandma, and two young daughters, stayed in Ross for one night. The house was large and comfortable. It was a good place to explore the town of Ross. It was within walking distance to the bakery. Just minutes away.
