Quorn is a typical northern country town in SA, some lovely old buildings, and of course, home of the Pichi Richi Railway. You can appreciate when driving around that this town was once a busy thriving centre, now somewhat quieter. Well worth a visit and a ride on the historic steam powered railway.

A quiet, neat and clean country town.
A quiet, neat and clean country town. Perfect location for exploring the Flinders Ranges. Pichi Richi railway is excellent.
Dining out venues in Quorn are limited, but it is only 35 minutes to Port Augusta by car where there are many eating options.

Such history and very good Silo Light Show.
Such history and very good Silo Light Show. We should have stayed another night and visited the next town up , Hawker and visited the jeff Morgan Gallery . What a mistake we made!!!
The Transcontinental Pub was also outstanding for dinner . We had the Beef Stew with mash. Simply the best . Great example of an outback Aussie pub with some fascinating locals.

A town that has survived and thrived against all the odds!
A town that has survived and thrived against all the odds! Several friends had recommended visiting the town again to view the new silo projections at night. It was a great show and highlighted the town's amazing history. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere.

Plan you trip around the Pichi Richi Railway operating days, the trip to Woolshed Flat is great. For an extra special occasion, check to see when the "Coffee Pot" is operating along the Pichi Richi Railway, it is a unique experience with three course lunch served at Woolshed Flat.
Other local attractions include Flinders Gin, locally produced Gin, the local flavor to try is Quandong.
The local Restaurants, Cafe's and Hotels all offer traditional, country hospitality.

The Lodge is very modern and new - a nice surprise for a small town. We were upgraded to a split level apartment, very large and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed., including double showers and basins! Would stay there again if visiting Quorn.
Great location in the centre of town. Very friendly and we had a lovely meal in the hotel. Breakfast was provided which was unexpected and was in a separate breakfast room.
Enjoyed the silo show across the road in the evening after dinner.

Motel with well-equipped rooms, ideal to visit the Pichi Richi Railway in Quorn and to explore the Flinders Ranges, which are about 1,5 hours away by car.
Nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance.

Clarinda's property is lovely, the accommodation is very comfortable and spacious and has everything you need. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay longer if we're in Quorn again.

It is quaint but at same time, very comfortable and has all facilities needed. Location is excellent- so easy to walk into town and explore Quorn on foot.
