We only stayed for 1 night in Narromine.
Not many shops, and mostly closed when we were there.
Coles is the only large shop. It was quite good for the size of the town.
We stocked up on a few grocery items.
The Glen McGrath statue is on the right hand side , in a small park
- as you enter town , heading west.
The Rotary park beside the Macquarie river is very good.
We had a nice Barbecue tea. Plenty of nice grassy areas to unwind and relax.
We were short of time, this trip.
We would have liked to visit the Aviation Museum - Hopefully next time.

For us, it was an overnight stay and we did not arrive until after 4pm and left around 9am. We know it has an aviation museum which we would have liked to visit if we had been able to stay longer. Perhaps another time; we had a deadline.

Narromine is a small country town. Locals are friendly and I would recommend the Courthouse Hotel for a meal and friendliness.
Narromine is easy to get around and at this time of year the Iris Farm is the place to go and see unusual irises in flower and you can buy the iris tuber.

The best (and only thing) to do was a visit to the Aviation Museum. It was great. Everything else was very poor. Meals at both USM and Bowling club were not good, service was poor. Accommodation at the Stockman Motor Inn was disgusting!

Went to Narromine United Services Memorial Club about 6:30 pm on a Thursday and I was the only diner in the dining room.
The distances shown from centre on booking.com for Stockman Motor Inn and Abbey Bed and Breakfast are wrong.

I was passing through, of which I couldn't, due to flooding, of which NSW live traffic said I could, not happy, had to back track, a waste if a trip and money.
I'm sure Narromine is a lovely place, but I didn't have time to look around. There was a car meet there on the day I left, though.
