Saltbush was a wonderful place to stay. The slab hut I stayed in had a lot of character and unique and was very comfortable. Location to town very convenient although guests I met or staff often offered a lift to/from town. Longreach has been a bucket list visit for some time and certainly did not disappoint.

Set in Longreach in the Queensland region, Mitchell Grass Retreat has a patio. There is a private entrance at the luxury tent for the convenience of those who stay.

It is in the middle of town and we were collected from the railway station at 7.45 pm. We were also upgraded without charge and the room was superb.

Didn’t have to speak to anybody, just checked in with ease. I was worried about having shared bathrooms but there were a few of them and they were all clean. Very satisfied with the price.
