I was there for the lantern parade. Lismore turned it on. All shops including art gallery were open til late The street stalls provided feasts fir the eyes and tge stomach. Parking was easy and plentiful. The vibe was happy and relaxed. The parade was 2nd to none. Best event I've been to in a long time.

Lismore is still recovering in oarts from dreadful floods of several years ago but the indomitable spirit of the community and the large country town feel of the "city" are probably symbolic of Australian medium size Regional centres. It's a very casual town but wants for nothing by way of service and facilities. There are several cultural experiences and museums that are worth a look.

Lismore is and always has been a great town. The floods have definitely had and impact on the aesthetics, but I tried to spend some money whilst I was there people are so helpful and friendly and the hotel staff were very nice.

Tired looking town allegedly known for cafe culture but we saw little to no evidence of that; was hoping to do a run along the riverside but river was murky and riverbank looked uninviting. Only positive was some lovely old stately buildings.

It felt right to spend a bit of money in Lismore because it was still reeling from the disastrous flood. It is very apparent that there is a strong community will to recover but it is also clearly a struggle.

There are some fantastic cafes open for business. The food at Dark Horse Espresso was fabulous. The locals are absolutely amazing and Lismore deserves a visit. There were lots of fabulous clothes stores in town. Another fabulous place to visit is the Common People Brewery at Bangalow.

We had an overnight stay at the Wilson Motel as it is situated close to relatives we were visiting. As the Wilson was affected by the 2022 Lismore floods, we were very fortunate that the Motel was open. Obviously renovations are on going, but we had a lovely comfortable room and bed, and the bathroom facilities were great. Thank you for a lovely stay, and a great breakfast.

The renovations on the hotel have been combined with heritage building to create a very modern feel with excellent details from the past well added. The food was excellent and good value for money. Some excellent drink choices to suit everyone from great wines, craft beers and amazing cocktails The rooms have been renovated with modern finishes and very comfortable.

Staff were lovely and very informative of the area. Bed was comfy and building has been recently rebuilt and everything was brand new. The photo's don't do it justice. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Lismore.

Great location and helpful staff plus undercover parking. Next door to the Lismore Workers Club for meals and a place to catch up with friends and family.
