Kyneton is such a lovely town, beautiful architecture, and gardens. Great shopping, fab art galleries, lovely friendly people. Plenty of drinking and eating options.Easy to walk round whole town. We ate at the Bowling club, food was ok, nothing fancy but prices were good especially drinks prices.

Kyneton has a lot to offer.

Kyneton has a lot to offer. Good restaurants, excellent museum, proximity to other places of interest, many good coffee shops, fabulous pies and delicious food at Piper Street Food Co. East access from Melbourne.

The best croissants outside of France can be found at GRIST...

The best croissants outside of France can be found at GRIST in Piper Street - a beautiful artisan bakery. They have delicious pastries, pies and quiches - the selection is vast!! The best steak with home-made chips is at The Albion Hotel - red wine and a fire - perfect! Kyneton is a real foodie town and close by is Trentham and Daylesford.

Hotel itself downstairs has good menu, cheerful staff , lots of friendly locals - comfotable cosy decor. Accomodation is called budget but not described well on line - if you stay take your own coffee maker, cup, rubbish bag and toiletries.

We had family living here once, and we came back to...

We had family living here once, and we came back to reminisce. The local RSL where we had our meals was great. The young ladies that attended to us each day were absolutely fabulous. Malmsbury was another place we travelled to as that was where our dad was born.

Central location great hotel room, comfy bed and bed linen...

Central location great hotel room, comfy bed and bed linen shared bathroom very clean and great chef meals. Close to shops and great coffee cafe shops to have breakfast very friendly helpful staff. Close to the train station to travel to Melbourne fast train.

I loved everything about the shack. It was spotless, inviting, with great facilities....facial wipes in the bathroom and wonderful hand wash/lotion... a coffee machine and a bed comparable to a 5 star hotel and great bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. Soooo close to cafes and restaurants...yet still quiet. Our host greeted us with a welcoming smile and made us feel so comfortable. We can't recommend this accommodation enough. We'll be back.

I had the rare delight of walking into Botanica House - Your Kyneton Oasis and my first reaction being "wow! It's even nicer than it looks in photos!" I immediately felt at home. Everything was styled beautifully, of high quality and the thoughtful and delicious local touches made it even more special. I slept superbly and the heating and cooling options were first rate. Communication with the hosts was easy and prompt.

Lovely touches in the room. Eg. single-cup coffee plunger and fixings, cutlery and plates, toaster, and yummy biscuits (replaced whenever they service the room). Large and very comfy bed with electric blanket. Decent and silent AC/heater. Plenty of parking. The moteliers and staff are friendly and considerate. They really did go above and beyond to accommodate and help me during my stay in Kyneton.

Darcy's Cottage was just lovely. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and soft pillows. Electric blankets were most appreciated. Breakfast options were wonderful. One could not find fault with this accommodation. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Kyneton.
