A large house in the middle of nowhere - It's OK we can live with that (We had each other's company). A large house that supposedly can live up to 15 people, but only 2 bedrooms, one being an ensuite - It's OK we can live with that (We had a roster system). Showpiece of a hot tub that cannot reach more than 25 degrees in Winter - It's OK we can live with that (Only the kids were brave enough to go in). HOWEVER, no gas for almost half our stay resulting in cold/no shower and unable to use the stove, and then followed by lies, accusations and lack of accountability from the property management? That one is hard to swallow. After I was virtually ignored when I reported the incident, the next morning while we were cleaning and packing to check-out, I decided to remind the property manager that the gas was still out of order (for the sake of their next guests), From that point, excuses were coming thick and fast. I was told that someone came the previous night to install new gas bottles; that someone might have forgotten to switch it now; that I should check the isolators and turn it on. We knew that no one came to swap the gas bottles because all the guests were in the property all night. When I requested for a partial refund for the inconvenience caused. I was being blame for not following their instructions and hence no compensation was to be considered. Unfortunately, overall our experience was soured by Weekenda.
