We loved our stay at Kondari hotel. The room was perfect for an over night stay- clean, spacious and comfortable. What made our stay however, was the kindness of the staff at reception. This property had a well equipped kitchen with more than enough crockery and utensils. Spacious bedrooms and we liked the separate toilet to the shower which is particularly good when travelling with a group. Fabulous view of the waterfront. Easy walk to shops and cafes. Loved the welcoming pack on arrival. Hosts super friendly people and helpful. Property had secured parking and entrance.

What's not to like?

What's not to like? The place is beautiful and a joy to visit. The restaurants are numerous, the accommodation options are endless, the touristy opportunities are many and the shopping is great! Perhaps the only downside is no different to most other larger coastal towns, that being the (non animal) feral elements about town...😏

Hervey Bay is the best place in the world to see Humpback...

Hervey Bay is the best place in the world to see Humpback Whales whether for the juvenials that are people curious (known as August whales) or the Mothers and Calves which arrive from early September through to the end of October. My focus is only on the whales but there are various trips to K'Gari (formerly Fraser Island) either by organised bus tours, self drive or by boat to the West side where kyaking and beach tours plus whale watching in season is available. I travelled to Hervey Bay for the Whale Watching and wasn't...

I travelled to Hervey Bay for the Whale Watching and wasn't disappointed. I took three tours on three different boats and saw whales on all three outings, some very close to the boat. We also saw sea turtles, dolphins and sea birds. The weather was perfect, with mainly sunny days and light winds during my stay. Access from Brisbane was easy and the roads were good and well maintained. There are plenty of good food options and cafes opened early (5:30am near where I was staying) so you can grab a hearty breakfast early and head off for the day to maximise your time in the area. Recommended.

Whale watching full day with morning tea and lunch included. Simply amazing whales. Staff enthusiasm excellent. Took a trip to Maryborough what a gem. Mary Poppins and the street market were great also lots of history. Lovely town

Lots to see & do....or enjoy doing nothing at all. Beautiful bay to walk along, lots of fantastic places to eat at, cafés, clubs, bakeries, restaurants & all different cuisines. A relaxing, peaceful place with a totally unpretentious vibe.

Located right on the picturesque Esplanade in magnificent Hervey Bay, the Santalina is definitely a hidden gem. The airy two bedroom apartment provides everything you need for a self-contained stay, at a great price too - especially compared to the going rate at other accommodation. Opposite the famous Urangan Pier and right next door to cafes, restaurants and the Bayswater Hotel, you're spoilt for choice if you decide to eat out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

We’ve visited Hervey Bay previously and found most accommodation to have been average at best, however, we stretched our budget this time around and our stay at the Allegra Appts., was nothing short of excellent! Our ‘suite’ enjoyed direct access to the charming pool and helpful staff were usually on hand to answer virtually any question we threw at them. The underground car park was an unexpected plus to what was a great break!

Our first visit to Hervey Bay couldn't have been better. Facing the Esplanade, an easy stroll to the historic Pier and some wonderful cafes and eateries, and just a stones throw to the beach, the unit was the perfect base to go exploring. Sarah and Ian - thanks for all the attention to details you make, and going just that little bit extra in looking after your guests. It was all so much appreciated.
