Great wide streets.

Great wide streets. The street signs were difficult to see especially at night. Had a group dinner at the railway hotel. Very efficient & friendly staff. Great meals, big serves. Highly recommend. Visited Mitre 10's garden section. Regular plants were very expensive. Prices badly displayed. Cluttered. Badly presented. Unappealing.

The "Royal Hotel" Tambar Springs about 70 k south , had a nice lunch there , "Gunnedah Museum" spent a couple of hours roaming through their sheds full of everything from yesteryear , very good displays . The "Pensioners Lookout" well worth a look out over town and surrounding land , some nice statues there as well, Had a meal at " Gunnedah Club " across the street from the motel , very easy to get around this clean and tidy with friendly locals town.

Gunnedah is a well kept tidy town that has clean public toilets. Streets are clean and wide. The Council does an excellent job in maintaining this town. Availability of a wide variety of fast food and restaurant meals is another positive here.

Don't underestimate this place.

Don't underestimate this place. Great vibe in the town and all the locals we met were good value. The drive out from Willow Tree in the late afternoon is a gem. Definitely coming back. Great stopover spot if heading west.

We were passing through only, but the town of Gunnedah seemed nice, clean and well kept, we ate at the pub which was nice enough as was the cafe we had breakfast in, we found a good park for the little one to have a play befpre hitting the road again. I would definitely stop there again and take another look around this tidy and historical town.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, renovated and a good size. Loved there was a shared kitchenette with a microwave, airfryer, plates and cutlery. The food at the hotel is excellent and reasonably priced. Great location in the heart of town. Friendly staff.

It was reasonably quiet and while not totally central was a healthy stroll to the Railway Hotel for drinks and dinner.
