What I liked most was the excellent hospitality and cooperation from the hotel manager Dehan, who helped us with everything from room bookings to daily needs like tea and coffee for breakfast. Honestly, there was nothing major that I didn't like — everything was well managed and comfortable.

Nice quiet little town with plenty of heritage buildings make for some great walks. The visitor centre has a great display of the mining and timber history in the area, with enthusiastic volunteers. The cafe next door has great pies, snacks and treats -and the Op Shop next door is certainly eclectic. The reservoir at the edge of town is an excellent place for a swim and some bushwalks.
