The Jacarandas were spectacular and more so in certain streets. I checked the internet for the best photo opportunities. Fig Tree Avenue was amazing as I’ve never seen a row of fig trees on either side of the street before. I walked along the river and the original bridge. I’ve never seen a bridge with so many turns. One thing I was disappointed about was the fact I’d forgotten about day light saving and I missed seeing most of the Jacaranda parade. Grafton is such a beautiful town in NSW.
Grafton is such a beautiful town in NSW. We went there just after the Jacaranda Festival in 2024. The beautiful jacaranda trees were still flowering even though there was heavy rain the day we arrived at the town. A lot of historical buildings in town such as the Post Office, the courthouse, and the Church. The food at Flame Tree Cafe is wonderful and we loved the jacaranda ice cream. I am not sure how much jacaranda flowers in it but it tasted wonderful. We do not have much time to visit the regional gallery and it is on our next visit list. The people in town are very friendly and they greeted me when I was wandering around. We missed the Jacaranda Festival so if you are travelling with family, maybe consider coming during the festival.Guest review byWeidong - 10.0

Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. At about 7pm we decided Grafton was a great stopping point. Booked this with ease. Let owner know our expected arrival time and he called to give us instructions for arrival. We tried to be as quiet as possible for the other guests of course but in our room it was quiet. The motel is also in a very peaceful area of Grafton. There were lots of brochures and guides not just for Grafton, but the areas right up to Yamba, including suggestions of the best place to eat.
