The receptionist and staff on duty are very warm, friendly and helpful. Since we had a long time to spend in Devonport before embarking on our ferry to Geelong, the receptionist advised us to drive to La Trobe. It's a most charming small town with the best gift shop in the world, named the Reliquery. You must not miss this lil town and gift shop. Besides, the hotel's location is so near to the Spirit of Tasmania pier. We had no problems taking our car into the ferry to Geelong. Thank you so much Gateway staff and management

Yvonne and Glen were just lovely, happy to share their knowledge of activities to do and best roads to take for Cradle Mountain. The breakfast items and homemade biscuits were delicious and added a homely touch to our stay. The room was exceptionally clean, warm and comfy. It was great to have a laundry during our stay. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting Devonport.

We used Forth River Cottage as a base to explore activities...

We used Forth River Cottage as a base to explore activities around the area, but unfortunately that meant we got to spend very little time in Forth itself. It was a very small town which we'd like to explore more next time we visit.
