Flaxton is in a great spot if you like to hike.
Flaxton is in a great spot if you like to hike. I did the great walk from maleny to gheerullafalls in 3 days. I saw all of the waterfalls in the area too. It's such a magical place if you're keen for an adventure. Try to head up there after heaps of rain because the waterfalls were amazing when I was up there. I had the best trip. Konadilla was my favourite waterfall in the area. All of the hikes were amazing though. The pizza shop at mapelton is so good. It has a great view off the top of the mountain too. This is just another of the wonderful villages to visit in...
This is just another of the wonderful villages to visit in this spactacular region. Everyone is just so welcoming. Mapelton Hotel is only a few minutes down the road by car and has the most wonderful views from the large wrap around verandah. Think country hospitality and you have it in abundance. Beautiful mountain scenery and the views are best pic worthy with lots of terrific lookout points. Eumundi markets are a short car ride away and Montville and Maleny are just down the road. Flaxton was a great base for all these places plus Flaxton has its own arts and crafts plus "to die for" Devonshire Teas. This village has it all. Montville hotel (on top of the hill) is a great fun place for lunch , think hot days under canopies with mist sprays. Lots of lovely greenery and friendly interactive staff. The property was also located between Mapleton and Montville which made easy access to both these towns. The house was a beautiful historical Queenslander and the grounds were truly lovely.
