CanadaThis eco lodge is a real gem. It is run on sustainable principles, with everything elevated above Rainforest ground. Each visitor is assigned their own detached hut at the end of a walkway, and the huts have lots of windows and a long skylight to look out at the rain forest where you see cassowary droppings. The beds are highly comfortable and bathroom is amazing with natural bath fittings and the shower having a full height window. Staff are lovely with lots of information provided about the Rainforest and surrounding area to explore. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both were superb. Loved our stay.

SingaporeIt's definitely not your usual stay — instead of the common commodities think dinner by the fire (making both is especially satisfying outdoors), a shower and a bathtub in the jungle, beautiful territory with a creek, trails and lots of animals (we spent 2 mornings with flying foxes). And the bed in our Bower Hut was super comfy. Highly recommend this place as a couples retreat and a nice base to explore the Daintree area. Do note that there is no Wi-Fi in the outer huts, no power outlets and just a couple USB ports for your phones. But sometimes that's a good thing) P.S. Andy and Netty are very nice people, and you'll definitely meet them and their puddle Rufus when you walk to the reception for some Wi-Fi)

The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. 4 days was awesome, 1. Atherton tablelands, 2 indigenous tour / learn to spear fish & other indigenous ways, look for different bush foods, 3. Bruce belcher croc trip, mossman gorge and cultural tour by indigenous leader 4. Pt Douglas, reef trip, shopping or day spa! 5. Daintree Village ferry and high-top walk way 6. Go see Donna at Daintree Wild and hear about her fabulous stories of running the old zoo, which is now a bed and breakfast! Daintree was lovely and we enjoyed birdwatching, exploring some of the surrounding tracks and, particularly, an early-morning birding trip on the Daintree River. A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib. We missed the Cassowary Falls as they wanted $59 per adult to enter. So sadly, no where nearby for a free swim in the heat. Ferry over the river was $45 return which is pricey for a 2 minute trip across. The DVH Pub over the road had great bar staff with meals and drinks very affordable and yummy. The manager even put the T20 world cup cricket final on the TV for us. The café at Thornton Beach had great views and tasty sour dough sandwiches. Recommend a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream park too as they were fantastic flavors and only $7.50 for a tub of four varieties!Guest review byIanP65Australia - 10.0

Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree. Can't wait to visit again. Cassowary falls was amazing and I would recommend the Eco Lodge for dinner. Unfortunately we missed out on daintree icecream but won't next visit. Dave at Solarwhisper tours was amazing with his personal knowledge of the local crocs and wildlife. Swimming in the Emmagen creek was fun, we should have gone to the blue holes for a swim but will have too next time also. The Lodge itself is nestled amongst the Daintree rainforest in what we would describe as breathtakingly beautiful. The newly refurbished restaurant, bar and surrounding deck with spa is at the heart of it all. A stroll along the boardwalk leads you to your private villa, the room is very well presented with the bathroom being the showstopper. Our comfortable room overlooked the Daintree river so we had front row seats for bird watching and views to the lovely scenery. The outdoor shared kitchen with table to dine overlooking the river is an added bonus. Michael the host is super friendly and keen to share ideas to view wildlife etc. Incredible seeing all those flying foxes on the tree by the property. Is in a quiet little town which was a great starting point for exploring the Daintree. Everything was clean, the beds and couches were comfy.
