The Location is pretty good, only 5 minutes drive to the Penguin Prade(you cannot miss it!!) and also 5 minutes drive to Cowes town center. The host is really nice, guide us a room tour with warm welcome. Btw, the Hilltop is really a place to watch the stars at night, just enjoy it from your balcony or drive a minute to the nearby RedRock public beach.

Amazing and unique place to stay in a very peaceful residential area of Cowes, the main town of Phillip Island. Vanessa was a fantastic host and very welcoming. She allowed us to stay a little longer than checkout since no one else was arriving, which gave us more time to explore the beautiful island. Cereal, bread and milk were provided for breakfast, along with Vanessa's homemade jam. The bed was huge and comfy. Really wish we could have had more than one night.

    Great central spot for our visit to Philip Island attractions - Penguin Parade, Nobbies, Vietnam Vets Museum ... all great places to spend some time. As well as visiting some lovely places to eat! Didn't make it to the Markets ... maybe next time!

    The penguins were an essential visit and didn’t disappoint. Lots of wildlife to see. Local venues had live music and the food was wonderful. Only draw back is Cowes seems to shut down after 10pm, so need your own entertainment after that, we just listened to the ocean and relaxed.

    Cowes is a lovely shore side town on Phillip Island.

    Cowes is a lovely shore side town on Phillip Island. It is at the far end of the island from the bridge to cross over to the island. The town is well equipped with all softs of shops, and is a good spot to use as a base to travel around the island and experience all the sights that are available.

    Cowes is a cool climate beach and water. If you cannot afford cost or time to get warmer water, enjoy what is affordable at Cowes. If you want extras, try half-hour drive to San Remo pub, or one hour to Wonthaggi.

    We did a mosaics class at Mosaics by the Bay, located in Ventnor. I've been to Cowes a few times and the shopping and restaurants are very good. The beach is really nice. It is very easy to get around. It can be very busy during peak seasons. There are the penguin parade, whale watching certain times of the year, adventure parks, mini golf at Grumpy's. There is a lot to do for couples as well as families.

    A very picturesque place.

    A very picturesque place. The Vietnam Veterans Museum was great. The Penguin Parade was also good, albeit the little critters didn't want to play the game the night we were there. The local RSL was also very good and had some great meals.

    The house is very spacious with heaps of space for relaxing both inside and out. Main bedroom is upstairs with the others down, for a little separation from the 6yr old who followed us. 10min walk to the boat ramp, pulling a kayak and 6yr old. 5min if just you. 2min drive to the main strip of Cowes, so close enough but far enough to not hear anything at night. Definitely walking distance after a few pints if that’s your jam.

    The location is right in Cowes. We were delayed and we were advised the reception area would be closed by the time we arrived. The reservations person sent us details on how to obtain our room key which was so simple. The stay was just for one night, Phillip Island offers so much to see and now we will have to come back and of course, we will be staying at the North Pier Hotel.

    3 beds are very good for kids, very tidy house. Many board games are very useful. Sadly, we only booked one night, so we should plan more time indoors. Me and my mom all sleep so well here, especially as a mom, I haven’t slept so long since I gave birth, lol. Definitely come back if I go to Phillip Island.

    Location is a bit far from beach and shops but house size, amenities and cleanliness made up for it. Have stayed at places in Cowes that weren't as good as this house. You can walk to stuff but takes too long if you have small kids or need to bring back heavy items from shops.
