We recently stayed at The Ridge House with our two young children and had the most incredible family experience. The house is absolutely amazing, tucked away in nature with breathtaking views. We were so impressed by how everything is done with such respect for the nature, from the decor to the stunning views, this house was created to honor both the environment and the human spirit. It's a place that feels wild and wonderfully cozy at the same time. We loved exploring the area and going to the beach, but the most liberating part was simply being in the house. Even though we aren't a quiet family, the peace of the place seemed to take us in, making every moment feel truly magical and lovely. It's the perfect place to reconnect and return to what truly matters.

The cabins we had were perfectly located - Saint Crispin cabin right in the beach, close to pool and restaurant. We ate at the restaurant many times and enjoyed every meal - food was excellent. Overall the footprint of this resort is eco friendly giving you the true feeling of being in nature. Loved this place

The host really was the best! She told us all about the local cassowary that was popping by daily to snack on the fruits (unfortunately we weren't at the accommodation at the times it passed by). The lodge is in the middle of the rainforest making this a unique experience.

Wonderful stay. Greg cooked us a dinner which made me re-think if I was in my granny’s house. Extraordinary location. Greg has everything you need. Pool table, interesting stories, cold beers and delicious food. Absolutely intend to go back someday. Energy comes from solar and batteries, fully renewable. It is a place I’d fully recommend 10/10 stay for all ages and interests.

Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place.

Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place. You can walk along the long, beautiful beach with the ocean on one side and tropical rainforest on the other. When you walk back into the rainforest you are on a boardwalk which takes you through huge mangroves then through the tropical rainforest with a stunning variety of rainforest trees and other plants. You see lots of butterflies as well as birds, goannas and fruit bats. It is a place that fills you with awe.

Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions.

Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions. Highly recommended for nature lovers, hikers and anyone who wants to get away from it all. Getting away from it all includes not a whole lot of phone reception, so take a printed map. Limited groceries available so if you are self catering best to shop beforehand in Cairns or Mossman.

A beautiful, airy, spacious home that was meticulously cleaned. The cottage was set in a gorgeous garden where giant, blue Ulysses butterflies fluttered, where cassowaries visited. The kitchen allowed for easy meal preparation. The hosts were friendly and provided good tourist information. The cottage has a glimpse of the sea, in between 2 smaller cottages that are between the road and the larger cottage we enjoyed. Thornton beach is beautiful, with firm white sand which for great walking (no swimming advised because of crocodiles). A vehicle is strongly recommended in Daintree.

The road in has been heavily impacted by weather events so a slow trip in and out. One lane in places. We were greeted by a beautiful Ulysses butterfly on arrival and a cassowary chick and its dad the next morning. Very special.

Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest is one of the most beatiful things I have ever seen. As soon as you cross the river you enter in a different world. The rainforest is so dense that you feel you are in the jungle. And then the beach is really stunning. Just a shame about the salties. If all of this is not enough, the reef there is just amazing. I wish I could spend a year around there

Many restaurants to choose from to eat. Horse riding was fantastic through the rainforest and onto Myall Beach. Beautiful scenery, clean air you can choose to do as much as you like or as little. Just a beautiful quiet part of the world.

The rainforest around there is stunning and it was walking distance to one of the boardwalks that you can stroll into the rainforest on day or night. The night walk tour was terrific. Location was on a quiet back street off the main road. The Private cabin was very good. Bathroom a bit dated but fine. Gardens around hotel were pretty. Concrete walkways and lighting were terrific in the rain.

Coconut Beach House is a large and spacious house with a nice sized yard and surrounded by rainforest. The best part of it was the very large, lovely verandah that was great for dining or relaxing and looking towards the mountain view. It was handy having an extra bathroom, and the private path to the beach was really lovely.
