Loved the relaxed attitude of the locals, everyone so friendly and helpful. So there was a nice ambience. Getting around without a car was tricky as there is an uncordinated taxi arrangement but we did manage, so thanks to the taxi drivers. There was also extreme variation to price for same distance - up to 100%. Dined at a variedty of locations and found we liked the Wharf best. Loved the day trip to horizontal falls but would advise travellers to research the timing and implications of neep tide. Whale search was fun and productive on one trip. Camel ride also a lot of fun. As the Courthouse was in town we could walk everywhere, a good variety of places to eat, we liked DMK Balinese restaurant opposite Coles, Ginreab Thai, Mr Song Vietnamese. Papa Fuego Argentinian food was amazing, Matsos Brewery and the Roey do good food too. Tourist information just down the road, very helpful staff. Plenty of activities you can do from Broome, lots to see and do. We have done Horizontal Falls by air and that was amazing. Helicopter flight to Eco Beach a great day out. Snubfin Dolphins and Whale watching, Dinosaur footprint too fabulous. We have done all these trips more than once! Broome is a beautiful place with so much to do and amazing food I would recommend at least 10 days to do everything. Cable beach is amazing but quite expensive you can split your say with luxury and then the backpackers in town. Also a starting place for many Kimberly tours. a sunset cruse is a must. Baramundi wings at the Wharf are fabulous. the bus service was great in May, it has changed since now only hourly and stops from 13:30 to 15:45. so you may need to hire a car or scooter.Guest review byMeganAustralia - 8.0

Broome was good, the taxi driver from the airport ripped us off. The hop on off bus wasn’t working, terrible for visitors, perhaps the council should treat visitors with a bit more respect and I am sure it would pay off. Very spacious and clearly newly renovated as all furnishings were spotless. I really liked the 2nd apartment with wrap around verandah and views overlooking Roebuck Bay and it also had a washing machine/dryer which came in very handy for us. A stone’s throw from Matsos brewery across the road and Mangrove Hotel with excellent food next door meant dining options were a stone’s throw away. Location is ideal near Cable Beach and you can use all the usual facilities at the Oaks for less than the cost of booking through the hotel directly. Communication with the owner was excellent and apartment was exactly as described. My daughter unfortunately left her shoe behind when we checked out and the owner was kind enough to retrieve it and personally post it back which she was very happy about. We were able to use the pool after arriving too early for our check in time.
