The pictures don’t do justice to this wonderful place. It is beautifully decorated and furnished. You’ll find everything you need, and even more. We stayed the night before and after our 4 day camping trip in the desert and coming back to this amazing flat to shower, wash our clothes (everything thankfully dries super quickly in the desert so even if you are there for one night, you can hang your laundry and pack your dry clothes the next morning) and relax was a dream. Karen and Hans were very helpful and responded quickly. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone coming to Alice Spring.

Very clean and cosy hostel. The staff are very keen to make sure you have the best experience possible. About booking shuttles to the airport or even booking trips. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. There are plenty of opportunities to chill outside, whether in a hanging chair or by the pool. There are also free pancakes twice a week. The individual bathrooms are also very good. The location of the hostel is also great - 10 minutes walk to the supermarket or even to the sunset spots. Also, there was plenty of space in the fridge.

Very pleasant town in the Red Centre.

Very pleasant town in the Red Centre. Excellent location for day trips to the surrounding areas such as the West MacDonnell Ranges. Plenty of good accommodation. Good cafes and restaurants. Very attractive areas around the town and along the Todd River with Ghost Gums and other native species. The Kangaroo Sanctuary just south of the town is well worth a visit. See their website.

Telegraph Station, The Royal Flying Doctor Service and the School of the Air are all exceptional and very much worth a visit. Anzac Hill provides a good view of Alice Springs and is perfect for an evening sunset. Bojangles Saloon & Dining Room is great for lunch, offers a really unique atmosphere. Alice Springs is 'Dry' Mondays and Tuesdays so if you would like to partake in a glass of wine or a cold beer you will need to acquire these ahead of time.

Alice Springs is a beautiful place, just like any other town. It has it social problems and everything is normal. The scenery is compared to none. Though locals run a muck, but all foreigners were great. So it’s a great mix.

I have to say I don't understand why people visit here other than that it's somewhere to stay and also eat before heading off to the various natural attractions. There was no charm or character. I feel like I missed something. It was just a dumpy, dreary town with the odd boring historical building. The best part of Alice Springs would be the Desert Wildlife Park which was excellent, but I couldn't see that it had anything else going for it.

Don't listen to media reports ... Alice is perfectly safe.

Don't listen to media reports ... Alice is perfectly safe. There are parts of town at night that would be less safe, but that happens everywhere. Make adult decisions and you will have a wonderful time.

We unfortunately encountered 2 days of rain on our 2 day stay. Guidebooks helped us get around and choose activities to do indoors. People were friendly and helpful, but you must be vigilant about local gatherings about the place. Stay alert at all times when out and about

Very safe part of Alice Springs. Staff were very accommodating with my many requests in the lead up to arrival, and this continued throughout my stay. Particularly as I stated I would be leaving early and as I have mobility issues did not want to walk too far in the dark to the pick up point, I was given a cabin close to the entrance so I did not have any issues. Also accommodated my request for cabins close together so there was safety in numbers. Would stay again.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room itself was very basic. I assume it's because there aren't that many hotels in Alice Springs, so it pushes the price up. But it was a bit of a disappointment compared to other hotels I stayed at in Australia both before and after this stay.
