FAQs about hotels in Adelaide

Adelaide: Australia's Undiscovered Gem

Scratch the surface of Australia’s undiscovered gem with its blend of wonderful beaches, wide boulevards and extensive parklands including the Adelaide Botanic Garden. The City of Churches chimes to the beat during festival season with the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.

The River Torrens flows through the city from the surrounding Mount Lofty Ranges. The Adelaide Hills features The Cleland Conservation Park that includes a wildlife park where you can pat koalas and Mount Lofty Summit with its panoramic views of the city. Hahndorf, with its German history, is another highlight.

The coast has some fantastic beaches. Historic Glenelg is Adelaide’s favourite local playground and further south are the wide open shores of Aldinga where you can drive your car on to the beach.

There are few better multicultural markets than the Adelaide Central Market or choose from a host of marvellous museums and art galleries, some having free entry. The picturesque and historic Adelaide Oval is a favourite for sports lovers.

Booking.com has accommodation in the city or visit surrounding areas like the Barossa Valley, Flinders Ranges and Kangaroo Island.

I liked Adelaide very much.

I liked Adelaide very much. It was not a tourist trip, so I did not have time to visit many places (like Adelaide Zoo which I wanted to visit very much but did not have enough time). Still, I enjoyed variety of locations during my relatively short stay. I arrived a few days earlier, before the event that I attended in Adelaide, and I spend a couple of days at Henley Beach which is an extremely nice and relaxing place. It is easy to get around Adelaide, buses are regular and fast (e.g., between Henley Beach and the downtown, and to the Adelaide airport). Taxi are also available and inexpensive. There is plenty of places to eat including Japanese or Chinese style restaurants or Sushi Corner's (if you prefer it quick).

Fantastic city.

Fantastic city. The streels are well placed, there is a green zone all around the city and the airport is so close to the city center as can be. One fantastic thing for me is the bicycle trails and lanes in and around the city. It makes for very safe cycling.

Adelaide is an amazing city.

Adelaide is an amazing city. There’s plenty to do and many delicious restaurants to try. The wine is world-famous and for good reason. Visiting the wineries in the Barossa Valley is a must. Unfortunately, I only had a little time to spend there, but I would certainly return to stay longer.

Nice feel. Spacious. Green. Lovely stone buildings.

Nice feel. Spacious. Green. Lovely stone buildings. Slower pace. Quieter. Glenelg is so picturesque with lovely beach. Roadworks at Glenelg were invasive to the cafe strip and made commuting difficult. Several days exploring the Hills was lush and wonderful. B&B at Aldgate and several days exploring the wonders of Hahndorf's shops and fine eateries, galleries and cideries; Lobethal's Fabrik was a wonderful gallery and tour from the Manager was very informative about the roots in Onkaparinga blanket mills.

Lovely CBD to explorer, with good free activities like the art gallery and museum! Lots of tasty food spots in and around the CBD to eat from as well :) not too far to drive from the beautiful wineries as well at either McLaren Vale or The Barossa Valley!

Another nice stay at the Pullman, which is my hotel of choice in Adelaide. Comfortable room and bed, with just enough room to spread out bags, do a bit of work on the computer and relax. Restaurant and bar staff were competent. Restaurant isn't cheap (not much in Australia is, these days) but food and drink was tasty and well prepared. The location is good for access to buses on Grenfell St, the Mall, the restaurants on Rundle St. About 10 mins to the free tram, the Art Gallery etc, and 15 mins to the Railway Station.

Wonderful bed & shower. Very quiet room. Daily parking fee comparable or lower than other hotels we researched. A few minutes walk to two different tram stations. The East/West tram in Adelaide is free between the Entertainment Centre and the Botanical Gardens and the North/South line within the CBD is also free.

I stay at this hotel regularly and consider it my home in Adelaide. The 2BR apartments are better. They are used less frequently I assume and more care is put in to the cleaning. The 1BR this time was not cleaned well at all.

Really great location in Adelaide’s CBD and so close to excellent shopping on Rundle street and many good restaurants. The bed was comfortable, parking very convenient and basically a good hotel.
