Everything is automatic from the check in to buying coffy or wine in the dining room, which is nice and the owner was always around to troubleshoot any difficulty. The hotel location is 5 minutes from the lake's promenade. The room was perfect with everything we needed. Breakfast was rich with a lot of variety. We ate a few times in the evenings at the hotel's reataurant, that serves local dishes that were very tastful. Stuff were very helpful. We had excellent holiday and we'll come again for sure

Very beautiful location and lots of attractions nearby that are worth it. Mountains, lakes, cities. I definitely recommend planning to get as much done as possible. It's worth it. One of the best long weekends I've ever had.

There is a brewery in the village.

There is a brewery in the village. The restaurant next to it was never open and there was no information about opening hours, not even on the internet. However, there is a great little restaurant in neighboring Thalham called Gasthaus zur Linde. Friendly owner, delicious food!

The heated outdoor pool is great to use even in cooler weather and offers a fantastic view. There's also a lovely spa area and plenty of small relaxation areas. Even in bad weather, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your time. The four-course menu with choices is excellent, reasonably priced, and all homemade – a highly recommended hotel overall!

Strass im Attergau is a quiet town, but you can easily reach...

Strass im Attergau is a quiet town, but you can easily reach interesting places and activities like Mondsee and St. Gilgen. We had a delicious meal at Kiener. We cycled around Mondsee on an e-bike, visited the Gmunden treetop walk, took the cable car up to St. Gilgen and hiked back down, and enjoyed coffee and cake at Im Weissen Rossl on Lake Wolfgang. Salzburg is a 45-minute drive away.

A small and quiet German village, but a 10-minute drive to...

A small and quiet German village, but a 10-minute drive to the Lichtenberg observation tower - I recommend it - and a 15-minute drive to Nussdorf on Lake Attersee - also charming. And right next to it is the Moon Lake (Mondsee), which is longingly admired by everyone passing through Austria on their way to Italy or Croatia.

The bed was comfortable and clean, this is basically what we needed for the 1 night stay. The location is nice, in a village with horses and clean air. Hotel is situated only 15 min by car from the Mondsee.
